Not kitbashing, but Forgeworld also narratively progressed Carab Culln from Sergeant to Captain to Chapter Master to Dreadnought via roughly 6 books and 3 models. (I can't recall if the Culln dreadnought model was ever actually included in an Imperial Armour, but I think I'd stake my last chicken nugget that it wasn't).

New book they teased previously.

This is a must-read supplement for every fan of the lore of The Horus Heresy – and that’s all before we get to the rules content: three asymmetrical Onslaught Missions, two new Legiones Astartes Detachments, and new profiles for a Saturnine Command Squad, a Centurion in Saturnine Armour and, for the Word Bearers, the Phraetus Anointed Conclave (see below). There is also an Arcana Upgrade for a Thousand Sons unit clad in Saturnine Armour.

So, are these journals soft back only? The image they showed during the preview was definitely a hard back, but now this image is soft back.

And I was hoping for a preview or hint at the new terminators. Cataphractii and Tartaros. Give us some idea of how they will look and direction for the different marks.

Good preview overall, but a little light on the Heresy, IMHO.

I do love the IA tanks coming and a book of unit compilation. Mastadon, I love that model, just wish the rules were better for it.

I was really hoping the chainaxes were from a seperate kit. Getting hard to find enough to make a horde of World Eaters.

MKII Assault look awesome though and I will be picking some up.

Yeah really hoping they're done as a separate kit or as part of a melee weapons 2.0 at some point. I've got a mass of Mark VI assault I could use chainaxes on.

Extra daemon laden saturnines, wobbies stay winning. (At the small cost of a separate journal)

Now to hack apart some obliterators for extra flesh.

There's a mention of Thousand Sons specific stuff for the Saturnine as well.

Yeah, an saturnine armour specific Arcana upgrade, which, if it's anything like the other arcana rules in the Liber will be a cute set of toys to play with rules wise.

Has there ever been a time in recorded history where the Word Bearers did not see a new asset and immeditately say "But what if Daemons?"

Pre-Monarchia? Maybe pre- the pilgrimage?

But yes, the correct response is to put a Daemon up 'em.

On the journal - its cool, but kinda skivvy to be releasing these so quickly after the launch. Especially Saturnine Command Squads and Centurions which really could have been in Libers or journals.

They may be less than stellar rules writers, but never underestimate their ability to get your money…

Since all the Legions and battles of the HH Arcane Journals advertised don't interest me, I'm not going to pay money to get the rules for 2 new Detachments and rules for Saturnine Command squads and Centurions.

If they aren't given in a PDF then I guess I'll pirate them? What's the best army builder in that case, since Battlescribe has gone a bit funny?

The Dropsite one is softback. I have seen it in person though I can't buy it till next week.

That's like asking if Night Lords ever met someone and not think their skin would make a good lampshade.

Thing is internally they were likely finished months apart.

Gimme some of those bunkers, GW!!!

Agree. I want some too.

BTW, I expected a bit more in the Horus Heresy's preview. An extra supplement and the mk2 assault marines it was a bit "poor" for me. At least, I expected the Breachers.

About the supplement, one of my personal fears is that,Horus Heresy is going to walk the same path as Necromunda. Lot of supplements with a lot of new rules and units, too much. I hope this wouldn't be.

Anyone know if that glaive is resin or plastic? Cracking display regardless.

It's resin - there are no deimos-style circular doors at the front like the new Fellblade chassis
