Bit of an open question on how this changes the reasoning on Tart v Cata. Given the changes to assault, I would still say Catas are probably still the better call against other Termies.

If it was based on a newly planned kit then that's a heck of a change to make, unless they're going to re-errata it later to match the new kit... which just seems like pouring petrol on the fire.

Also, weapons with the Psychic Trait aren't Psychic Weapons (so the era of the pacifist Gal Vorbak is at an end) but Psychic Weapons still need the Psyker special rule to use. Which leads to my follow up questions of "what the heck is the difference?" and "what does the 'Psychic' trait even do?!"

My guess: Psychic Weapons are gained from psychic powers and Psychic trait is a physical weapon grouping. It doesn’t do anything by itself but may interact with other rules (like Bolt and Auto interacting with Imperial Fist tactics rule).

I think awaiting for the actual Liber to fix issues for non-production models is beyond a copium fix. Not trying to buzzword too hard, but we've clearly seen that they are not the places for non-model stuff.

 

Yes GW may do a nice big sisters plastic release with the Liber, and thats great if they do, doubtful, but great.

 

But either way that will be months off as they'll want to 'smooth' their big sales like usual.

 

So means SoS and Todes players have had their armies scuttled, hard, and for who knows how long (my best, especially for SoS is the edition..so only ever years..not too bad ;) ).

Kind of.  Can't really have the PDF show the whole story yet if they do big changes for the Liber as that would spoil the surprise well before the models are available.

Chances are also good the range refresh is just that, a refresh without any actual changes.

It’s not outside the realms of possibility that it was a mistake but it seems very odd that they specifically drew attention to the Tartaros siege squad in the legacies pdf as the place to find tartaros with fists if it had just been an accidental omission from the liber entry. They could’ve just said, sorry, that’s just a mistake and it’ll be errata’d on day one.

I was hoping for a WH+ battle report as I struggled with the SN one. Not their fault, I hope to have success with the other two listed. 

I hope WH+ run a report as I enjoy their and I can guarantee they are kid friendly for Junior and he wants to see one.
