Which could get weird when you consider these are S5 AP2 Gets hot instant death guns.... So maybe a stat change is coming?

Profile like that would explain how the became ever rarer. People just kept blowing them up.

I've heard more rumors on Discord.

All in here - you'll have to search for messages from them. To summarise:

- reactions changing from once per unit per _phase_ to once per unit per _turn_

- no terminator command squads*

- I was close with a guess that the vehicle damage table would be changing in _some_ way

- can charge out of non-Assault transports, but the charge is disordered

Someone claimed to know a playtester:

His exact words and approximate facial expressions were:

"Have you heard the 3rd ed rumours? Well y'know how kakophoni don't get line in third company elite..? [Raises eyebrows] Yeah. They're good now. I'm really mad that I sold all mine before I heard - I had 3x10. Anyway I can't tell you any more but I'd definitely recommend building some"

*another rumor is that command squads just get them as an option again.

As usual take all of that with a bucket of salt.

These are wild! Pinch of salt taken. As an EC player, Line Kakophoni doesn't make sense, they literally don't care at all about the actual objectives, but man I'm here for it.

Line isn't a rule that states whether a unit cares about objectives or following commands though, it's just an arbitrary label attached with frustratingly little consistency by the game designers. An objective in the game could be anything from a dark ritual site to a legion relic to a site of strategic import to a cache of civilians ready to be turned by the Third Legion into hats and/or drugs, and if units like Rampagers (who are literally frothing lobotomised madmen) can be given Line through a rite, there's not really a good reason for why Kakophoni shouldn't via the same mechanism.

As entertaining as it would be to see every late heresy era Emperor's Children army lose every game automatically because nothing in the army can score as they're too busy chasing the proverbial dragon, some concessions have to be made for the same of having a fair and fun game. I hope Line/however scoring is accessed in 3.0 has been looked at and tweaked from what we saw in 2.0.

Wasn’t there a mechanism in some campaign where the players picks a handful of squads and only those squads can score.

That's the Saturnine Terminator torso, 01RTB01.

The big question is: are we again putting a space marine inside a space marine centurion style?

Are you trying to get the entire Heresy community to chase after you?

It’s actually a greviously wounded but not dead legionary interred within the suit with a pseudo-MIU.

I feel like people are over reacting to the strength of massed disentigrators; melta guns are instant death to T4 and below, and pen all armor, and they are not game breaking or taken all the time, and they dont get hot. I don't think Disentigrators will be OP.

That all sounds fairly plausible, the only one I find a bit of a stretch is no terminator command squads, especially if you can still take terminator HQs.

Revisiting the rites to give more stuff line seems like it’s addressing some of the huge inconsistencies with the current rites too. Everything about the rites needs a rebalance to make them more consistent and, in some cases, even worth considering.

Maybe they're reverting back to the format from 1.0 where you could buy terminatour armour as wargear for praetors, consuls and so forth, instead of every single one of them having their own unit entry like in 2.0 (which I always found to be a bit hilarious and excessive).

which would be fine.

So much better to have Terminator squad as an entry and then This squad may take X,Y,Z armour as options. (give me back my legion indomni terminators. )

What do you mean, there's no models for them ?

There's models for just about everything when you're willing to go creative and figure in all the HH releases since 2012

If you listen to Madonna's 'Like a Virgin' on a playback speed of 1.25 it almost sounds like 'My Conversion' ...
