=] EVENT: Call to Arms 2025: HERETIC ASTARTES [=

Greetings Lords, Ladies, Sorcerers, Apostles, Champions, Warp Smiths, Masters, Mistresses, Princes, Princesses and Other Entities Favoured by the Warp

 

Call to Arms is back this year, but I'm running it for @Grotsmasha.  For those new to B&C or simply unaware, Call to Arms is a Forum wide event that this year runs from June 15th until September 15th!

 

The forum is split up into 5 Strongholds: Imperium, loyal Astartes (which is new this year), Chaos, Xenos and Heresy with all 5 factions competing against one another to paint the most in the 3 months time limit. There will be a Central hub thread for each of the Strongholds in the Work in Progress section of the Forge forum which will be linked once it's live. We can use thread to cross post in and track/give motivation to those participating.  For those of you familiar with previous Call to Arms events, the rules are exactly the same this year except for loyal Astartes being their own stronghold.

Note: Custom/Scratchbuilt terrain- use this list as a guide as to how many points tour terrain is worth, but please make sure to mention your terrain is custom when Vowing.

 

 

All points are per model. For example if you pledge 20 Legionaires (1ptx20), 3 Obliterators (2ptsx3), a Bloat Drone (4pts), and a Terminator Lord (5pts), your vow would be worth 35pts

 

Please feel free use this thread as a place to share your thoughts, ideas, and WIPs prior to the Event to motivate and inspire the Heretic Astartes and Chaos to Victory!!!  After June 15th, please do the same in the Chaos Stronghold!

I might change my pledges a bit, but here are the Chaos Marine units I plan on pledging to this year's Call to Arms:

 

 

A pair of Blood Wolf Chaos Predator Annihilators

 

 

 

A pair of characters, Revna Crowsoul from my homebrew warband the Warpborn and Hazzar the Child Skinner from my House Nightfall's Night Lords. Revna will be a Warpsmith and Hazzar will be a counts-as Fabius Bile.

Oops, I forgot that we can only pledge to a single Chaos sub faction. I shall ponder whether to pledge:

-2 Predators and 2 characters to Heretics Astarte or…

-1 Rogal Dorn-Defiler heavy stalk tank and a bunch of Traitor Guard/Mutant Rabble/Disciples/Cultists/Rogue Psykers to the Lost and the Damned

Well, you can pledge it all, regardless of faction, you just have to choose 1 to be your "true faction" as it were.

Aaah, sounds like a plan. When I make my pledge it shall be Lost and the Damned.

 

Plus, as you recall, in previous editions you could do all sorts of fun things like mixing Traitor Guard units with Chaos Marine units, both through the regular force organization chart and by taking allies. Things like deepstrike daemons, Defilers, and Blood Slaughters in alongside your Vraks Army. Or things like bring individual CSM Aspiring Champions to lead your Lost and the Damned mutants and Leman Russes!

Feeling bad I can't pledge for Chaos, but I have 1750 points of Heresy stuff to do before September, so sadly going to have to give them the points this time.
