That's what I thought he said but it doesn't look like the typical upgrade set elbow you see with the melee weapons and such. That doesn't completely rule it out of course it could come with a couple of sets of arms or just be more stylised towards MK.II and MK.III.

Yeah maybe they will do it like the command squads.

 

Can buy the sprue with the arms, shields and guns, heads etc on separate or buy it with included MK3 sprues.

Double-checked the stream. "I think it's an upgrade as well so you can potentially mix with different armour marks."

 

With the helmet being unique (?) my guess is they'll come with MkIII in the actual box they'll be selling, but you can still use it with the others ALA Special/Heavy Weapons.

Just what I've been waiting for - bolter and shield are really nice - not a fan of the helmet centre line piece, glad I should have some other helmets spare.

I do wonder about the arms, with this allegedly being an upgrade sprue; have they found a way for the shield and gun to fit with regular bolter arms? The model they do show off does hold the shield a bit more in front of it instead of to the left side.

 

That could mean they save on space needed for the arms on the sprue and either make the whole pack smaller/cheaper, or rather, stuff more guns and bits into the sprue.

I really want to see the stuff unpainted or on sprue. This is good though because I lost half the ones I got from FW a while ago and was afraid I wouldn't be able to replace them. Upsized ones will blend even better with the Tortuga stuff I have.

These could not have turned out better. "Throws 3d printed breacher bits in the bin" Seriously though love the shield being a mix of the new one Raan has and the old resin ones and the helmet is just insanely cool.

I imagine there's only left arms on the sprue and you use the right arms from the tactical kit. The modularity of these kits is just great.

If it is an upgrade kit I would buy it for the heads and drum mag bolters to make veterans. So cool!

 

I also love them as is though so win-win.

Yay. I've been banging on about breachers for so long, and here they are.  It even looks like they've fixed the mk3 helmet.   It's been so long my libers and cataphractii terminators will be out of date, but mk2 assault marines and the return of the Cool stat sweeten the pill a bit.

And miss out on the drum mag?! Heresy! That being said, wonder what they look like with Godwyn-pattern bolters...?

My biggest issue with 30k Breachers is the with the curved bottoms of the shields. I much prefer the other ones forgeworld did with the more regular semi-cylindrical shape with the straight edges. A: they look more like roman legionary shields; B: the straight bottom edge makes much more sense since they can be more easily braced against the floor; C: both combined mean SPACE MARINE TESTUDO.
