Hopefully it’s 20 per upgrade pack or it’s gonna be a pricey summer.

I'd wager 10s. Considering there's only 2 charnabal Sabres in the cc kit I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I wonder when 3D printers will impact GW’s strategy to drip feed releases. By the time the breeches release it will be 3 years after the 2.0 debuted. My group 3D printed the upgrades a long time ago. I would rather give GW my money but having to wait years after a game is released to have all the options is a bit wild.

I honestly don't think they will. There are plenty of us that'll use bits from elsewhere but even if you gifted me a 3d printer I wouldn't have a clue where to begin. Throw in the fact I actually enjoy building plastic kits and I can assure you I'd never swap. I don't think I'm in the minority on that view. I've got friends with lots of 3d printed stuff and it's not the same. Even down to RT/2nd Ed era 3d printed stuff. Details are great but there's something about the weight of lead/ white metal that printing can never replace.

I pulled Rann’s shield out of my bitz box and held it up to the standard SG frame (like the tacticals come on) and I am pretty confident they can get ten on there

I hope the kit also comes with one-handed volkite chargers. I’ve been wanting these for my Salamanders since 1st edition just for the rule of cool. Looking forward to seeing them alongside my Pyroclasts and despoilers.

Yeah I got a printer two Christmases ago after being told it was "so easy" to use.

I didn't want another hobby, so I probably should've done more research before bothering, but it's a whole nother beast compared to what I do like about the plastic version of the hobby which is physical modelling and building kits. 3D printing gets rid of both of those angles, so it quickly became a "Put it in a box and maybe sometime in the future someone will buy it off me for cheap".

It'll be interesting to see what it comes with. Will we get volkites, special weapons like melta/ las cutters on there too?

I'm just elated they're announced as we now know they're on the way. Just a case of when. Entirely selfishly I'd love to see them in July/ August as I'm holidays. However, I'll finally finish hoop jumping at the end of June so I'll get my evenings back next academic year at least.

I am going to assume Volkite won’t be included, as it’s part of the special weapons upgrade set.

If we see Breachers released as an upgrade sprue and/or tac frames + upgrade, I personally feel like they will only add what is distinctly unique to the Breacher set (so maybe las cutters?) and they will have their hands full getting all the shields on a sprue. I am reflecting on how much sprue real estate 10x Volkite take up, and leaning towards the conclusion that it’s not going to be something GW is gonna include.

I'll respectfully disagree on the basis that the breachers have one handed volkite chargers whereas the special weapons sprue has the second hand molded on.

Considering the sheer volume of power swords across different things, I wouldn't be surprised to see chargers, bolters, graviton, melta, flamer and las cutters in the kit. (At least, I hope).

I also think on that basis that like the assault marines, they'll be sets of 10

I didn’t think of that, excellent point!

All good, I made some mkiv breachers with volkite and went through the pain of removing the second hands. I'd like to not go through that again lol.

Just looking at the sprue size the melee weapons come with I think it’ll be 5 Shields, 5 Heads, 5 Bolters, 5 Volkites, 1 of each special, and 5 Left Arms  Maybe a sergeant Melee Option section.
