I think/expect it to be about the Ullanor Crusade; it's lead up with the Emperor, the Ultramarines and the White Scars and its final.. Everyone acts just a little bit wrong. And the afterword is just 'did you read Lupus Daemonis?' There was a decent short way back, featuring him crusading on Ullanor with daddy E, and we also already have multiple bits of the big ol' Warmaster celebration, so I am not entirely sure that they will be that obvious. wecanhaveallthree Posted May 30, 2025 Share Posted May 30, 2025 I'm almost certain it's because there's something they want to do with Horus still. I just can't see a Horus book post-Siege being 'just another Great Crusade story'. I guess it could be, I guess it could just be 'look at how much potential he had, what a shame', but if McNeill is authoring it, I feel like the whole Erinyes thing he and French had going on with the Sons of Horus hasn't paid off yet. Particularly after Lupus Daemonis I believe there's a story that hasn't been told yet.
