Kind of amusing they call it 'contrast painting' outright. Think we're just missing Duncan's Two Thin Coats getting in on Not!Contrast now.

I like 3rd Gen a lot, and I'm hopeful these have some more desaturated colours since those can be pretty scarce from other ranges, given they tend to be aimed at the GW/fantasy/sci-fi audience.

Wonder when/if GW will start doing Contrast metallics, now a few other brands are getting in on that.

Interesting; nice that the paints are clearly labelled as to their coverage, and my understanding is AK makes a very good product (only things of theirs I have are their black and white paint markers, but they're pretty fantastic). I find myself using Contrast etc a lot less these days though, so I dunno if I'm likely to bother getting any.

Funny that, I'm much the same. Really depends on what I'm working on to be honest. I don't find Contrast to be great for Marines and the like, whereas for anything more biological in nature it's my go to. It's become either a crutch for less skilled painters, or another tool in the toolbox for those with more experience.

More choice is never a bad thing. I’ll wait until I see some reviews before I take the plunge and buy a couple. So far I’ve liked Vallejo’ Xpress colours the best.

There is also Monument hobbies, tough I doubt they will bother with contrast any time soon

I'm interested to try these out.  And it's cool to see companies iterating on the contrast paint product.  I want to see if the allegedly lowered surface tension really reduces unwanted pooling.  Between that, the different labeled coverages, and the matte finish, I could see these becoming my go-to.  My biggest gripe with contrast paints now is the finish.  I wonder when we'll see reviews of these start trickling out.

There's a few reviews on YT already.

I'm waiting for Stahly to get his hands on them

If someone could make a contrast that flows like an oil I’ll buy the whole range
