It looks like a couple of them have holstered bolt guns - I am keen to add those to my bits box.

I had the same thought. Also, there's one that's unholstered and slung over the arm:

Looks like the Tigris pattern bolter hasn't undergone too many changes, much like its pistol counterpart. The front handguard looks a bit bulkier than the bolters in the 2015 Mk. IV tac squad, but from this angle i don't notice any other substantial differences.

I quite like them on 60mm, but 50mm might be less obstructive, strictly gameplay-wise

I must confess I hadn't twigged there were examples of both in the article. Tis very early here still lol.

On this basis it'll be 60s. They look much better for it. The 50s look too small. Also means the rapiers should be bigger than the current resin versions and this would also explain the price point too.

I've gone for 2 sets of the laser destroyers personally.

Bigger base means you have more room to put tufts on. In addition your texture base paint shines more because on a smaller base most of it is obstructed by the weapon platform.

Why has the Consul radioactive Fallout goop on his hammer?

I think I want to put mine on ovals, with the crew and gun all together. 105mm x 70mm seems about right.

When I initially looked I hadn't realised they had some on 50s and some on the 60s. I've grabbed 60mm bases for mine. Larger bases look better for sure.

Box comes with 60mm so that's probably what we'll see the most of.

Not sure if I'll base them at all.

Thanks for that, based on GW's official images that wasn't clear they came with any.

I've cancelled my 60mm base order.

I'll base as it makes transport easier as I magnetise all my bases.

Deeply disappointed there isn't a grumpy marine poking his head out of the Whirlwind six inches in front of the launchers like in the old metal WW.

Gotta grab this beauty from the command sprue for maximum grump.

Is the turret ring on the Scorpius the same size as the one on the Rhino/Razorback kit? (I want to make Razorbacks and Whirlwinds for the 40K vehicles as I prefer the look of these parts to the regular ones)
