the only issue i see is lack of action monkey units. By that i mean whos scoring objectives and performing actions to win you the game.

Scouts are great for this as they can up and down, but even a 5 man unit with JP or a unit of bikes etc can be helpful for this.

Welcome to the B&C

It's fine to begin with. Three to four waves of units which will be strong in melee (provided you charge of course) and only a small amount of units to help you get to grips with the rules and the game. However, as you progress to doing more advanced forms of game play (such as anything Matched Play, Crusade, and so on), you may find that such larger units can become unwieldy and harder to use. Splitting the Assault Intercessors into two five-man units could assist you there and as mentioned above, it gives you an additional unit to hold an objective or perform an action.

Greetings Brother!

The only thing I have to add is that I think slow, expensive units like terminators are hard to use in smaller games. They're hard to shift to be sure, but their slowness means I can generally just ignore them when the board is as sparsely populated as 1k point matches tend to be. Their shooting also isn't potent enough to be enough of a threat to make me feel the need to have to deal with them.

that said, I love them in 2k games, though I'm partial to the libby!
