Hello everybody,

I would appreciate a bit of help with my Sororitas Army.

So far it looks like this:

1500pt - Army of Faith

Leaders

  • Morvenn Vahl (170 pts)
  • Canoness with Jump Pack (75 pts), Ministorum hand flamer, Power weapon
  • Dialogus (40 pts)
  • Palatine (50 pts) (in 2000pt with Litanies of Faith for 10pt)

Battleline

  • 10x Battle Sisters Squad (105 pts), Multi-melta, Flamer + Dialogus + Palatine
  • 10x Battle Sisters Squad (105 pts), Multi-melta, Melta (in Immo/Rhino)

Infantry

  • 10x Dominion Squad (115 pts), 4x Melta (in Immolator)
  • 5x Seraphim Squad (80 pts), 4x Flamers + Jump Canoness

Tanks

  • Castigator (160 pts), Autocannons (weapon magnetized)
  • Castigator (160 pts), Autocannons (weapon magnetized)
  • Paragon Warsuits (210 pts), War Blades, Granade Launchers, Multi-melta + Vahl
  • Immolator (115 pts), Flamers (weapon magnetized)
  • Immolator (115 pts), Flamers (weapon magnetized, in 2000pt I would rather play it as a Rhino for 75pt)

I have no idea how to fill the last 540pt. Maybe St. Celestine and an Exorcist? I would like to deep strike St. Celestine and/or Seraphim behind my opponent, forcing them to fight on two fronts.

I'd appreciate some tips  A few thoughts:

  1. Do I really need melee or can I manage without? (pen engines, repentia, celestians all seem to be rather squishy and will not block melee armies long)
  2. Would St. Celestine, Exorcist make sense? Plus 160pt of what? Castigator? More Seraphim? More Dominions?
  3. How would you fill the remaining 540pt? Am I missing something obvious?

If you're running the Army of Faith detachment, I'd say the biggest thing you're missing is another squad of Seraphim/Zypherim.  Most of the strats for that detachment key off of being area of effect if a jump squad is nearby.  With only one squad your opportunities are limited.

Some melee punch wouldn't be terrible.  If you want to win melee you'll probably need arcos.  If you just need to slow down melee threats 5 man Sacresants or Penitent engines will do well.  I like Mortifers because they come with twin heavy bolters which is a lot of Dakka and makes them a good utility unit that can do actions, shoot well, and can threaten weakened units.

Personally I love Exorcists as an iconic Sisters unit and an amazing model...but this edition they've never done anything but disappoint me.  D6+2 shots on damage D6 weapons....it's guaranteed to break your heart every time.  GW has really over priced these guys because of their indirect fire.  Another Castigator will do more damage and improve the rest of your army more, for fewer points.
