Ok, working my Imperial Fists version of my Chapter. I am making lists for each Chapter to represent different Company fighting styles. I typically ask my opponent which Chapter Successor they want to play. The Captains Eye of Hypnoth gives the squads re-roll hit and wound rolls of 1 for all there shooting, Rites of War makes those squads scoring. The Thunderhammer is because I have a Captain on bike armed like that since the beginning of 8th and I want to use him. I kept going back and forth about plasma guns, meltaguns, should the sergeant get a melee or combi-weapon, and should the attack bikes go in their own squadron. Feedback on those items would be especially welcome. Assault Intercessors and Bladeguard go in the Repulsors with the Chaplain supporting. I am not sure about Vox Espiritum on him, that is a big model and it might suit him to have a better Relic. The gladiators are an experiment and intended to help distract shooting from the Impulsors. I might drop these and possibly 2x Impulsors for 2x Repulsor Executioners. Thoughts here as well would be appreciated. Thanks all!

First time Chaos list, I really like the Word Bearers. Their Lawful Evil schtick kinda appeals to me. I think this is the intended place for army lists, when I inquired the Mods said it was so people would get more interaction. I am including all four Marks into the list, it seems fluffy for Word Bearers and I believe that it is very possible to get a solid army out of them. I am not including cult troops in this list, it is supposed to be Word Bearers more that an alliance. A threat that needs to be dealt with or it will tear out chunks of whatever they hit. The Master of Possession, I chose his Powers yo both support Daemons AND Legionaires, plus he can heal and/or buff a Helbrute. His Warlord trait and Relic were chosen because he is Casting 3 low cast powers a turn allowing him to gain CPs. Talk about a Swiss Army Knife! The Dark Apostle, again his mixture of Prayers, Warlord Trait and artifact are intended for him to be useful throughout the whole game. Khorne Legionaires go in the Rhino pushing towards weak objectives. Similarly the Nurgle unit peel off and stand on objectives at home or mid board. The Dreadnoughts rush forward only slowing when it is time to charge or shoot something. Again mostly doing whatever needs doing. Finally the 10-man Slaanesh Legionaires, yeah, with all the support this unit is getting it should murder everything! AoC, Transhuman, Advance and Charge, +2Str and Attacks on the Aspiring Champion, Attack twice stratagem. That Champion will swing 12x times, re-rolling hits, hitting on 2s, str 8, Ap-2, in Wanton Slaughter 6s to hit count as two hits, and ALL the damage rolls over! Yes I designed the army for that guy to deliver!!!

A lot of folks are looking at Deathwing only, full time transhuman etc, but I'm thinking Ravenwing is a Sleeper army. I came up with a first pass - I like the two Jetfighters as a distration buzzing in the back of the brain, plus two Avenger bolters get pretty important given the model count. Big Bike Squad, Big Bike Squad, Signature unit of one Sammael, Talonmaster, 5 Black Knights, and 3 Chapter Command for the surgical strikes, a Darkshroud and two Vengerance for flank/harassment, plus the above mentioned Jetfighters for annoyance. Its only 1990, instead of closer to 2K. But I like it, the big Jinking Bike squads are likely to get ignored in favor of the Elite Character+Bike Cannonball - which also Jinks. Then there's the three speeders who I suspect even more likely to get ignored - or draw more attention than they should because they look like soft targets. But everything that's moving Jinks. Now that you don't have to leave Devastator, they can all get away with the 4++ Jink and still shoot.
