3500 copies is better than Siege of Terra's 2500 at least

You mean 3,499 :whistling:

Also up for preorder next week. And even better: they've said they will do reprints of the special editions when they sell out quickly.

Yes, a lot less stressful than the previous series!!!  I ordered one first thing via my local Warhammer store, apart from the sluggish link between order and payment my path to further limited editions in the series is maybe easier?  I noticed it had gone to temporarily out of stock at 11.15 GMT which hopefully means that the 3500 print run is less susceptible to scalpers?

I wonder if just the "threat" of doing a reprint has knocked scalpers interests. Still plenty on ebay mind...

Think there's also a LOT less interest from actual collectors after the absolute mess that was the siege of terra and lacklustre dawn of fire series.

THIS ^^^^

I'm still waiting for them to release (or re-release I suppose) Era of Ruin Ltd Ed so I can finish my Ltd Ed series, but there is NO WAY that I'm getting suckered into a fresh series of "Premium" editions no matter what assurances they give around additional availability further in the future.

I like the progress in this, don't get me wrong, and moving away from specifically calling a product "Limited Edition" will do a good job in dissuading the hardcore scalping groups from pricing them too high, but I've still seen sales on eBay today between £70 and £90 on average.

Its up for me, if you go through the warcom link I got a 404'd

Edit: 21 min after release and still available in Canada

This is where I am with it. It was far too stressful and heartbreaking with the Siege of Terra series that its put me off any "Collectors Editions".

I am happy that non scalpers managed to get a copy though.

It was a whole year of not getting any of the LTD stuff for me I was so burned out from that mess (siege), especially after having seen how many the scalpers got when I joined their discord.
Once I saw the reprint text thought I figured I'd give it a try, I just want fancy book for shelf, limited numbers was always a secondary concern at best

After the stress and cost of acquiring the complete SoT LE series over the years I swore off doing it again.

And then I picked up Ashes of the Imperium yesterday.

Sadly the scalpers haven't been put off by the new 'Premium' format. One such scumbag had two copies on eBay 10 mins after release for $495 AUD - and one has already sold.

As long as there's money in it, the scalping will continue. The only way to curb it would be to sell the limited/premium editions as made to order.

I dunno why anyone would buy that at that price now that reprints are in play.
Both master of rites SE and Ashes PE are still available on the CAD site
