Here's my problem with the new Raven Guard character: it's another Jump Character with twin Lightning Claws. He's cool looking, don't get me wrong, but it's the same as Shrike with more bling.

The miniatures themselves look quite nice, and it is good to spread the love between the rest of the first founding from time to time.

80% of this model looks fine to me. It's the details that bother me. Why do his lightning claws have handle bars he's holding? Why does he have Chaos Raptor feet? And why is his helmet so awful? 

The other stuff looks fine, but that Iron Hand Terminator is perfect.

Have you considered this model is too cool to criticise for any reason and you should be confined into solitary for your heretical words?

Shrike ceded the position to the other guy because the difference in swag. I'm pretty sure that was the reason given.

Great update with He'stan and Lysander, and the White Scar Suboden looks pretty good as well on his 'grav-bike'. 

 

The Raven Guard is a bit too feathery for my tastes and, as HeadlessCross said, it's just another Shrike and I don't see how they are going to make them much different?

 

The Iron Hand looks a little plain for a captain, would have been a cool chance for GW do have some chainmail coming off him like the Cataphractii from the Black Books.

I feel really bad for the other three chapters. Three great models, but you can only be so cool when us Iron Hands got a Cyborg with a power kanabo

Really torn on the RG one, as it was the one I was looking forwards to the most. 

 

On one hand. Like the claws, the pose is good, like that it's actually an old character brought back and given a model, the armor itself is good and I like the jump pack

 

On the other hand. I hate the feathers. And the ribbons. This is the chapter that's supposed to be about stealth and freedom fighting, and they get feathers and banners that flap about in the wind

If I get one, he will be Shrike with a new set of armour.  I'm not a fan of the whole idea that Shrike decided to stand down.  Shrike's old miniature will become a different character.  It also looks a bit busy for what is supposed to be a sneaky-beaky chapter.

The handle bars actually would give him more leverage for slashing over a normal lightning claw. Perfectly functional with historical basis (see ninja Tekki-kagi)

Dear God the raven guard ran away with this wave compared to the others imo. That's a good thematic combat patrol and a character with alllll the drip. Way to make me consider restarting them GW.

Absolutely love the Raven Guard Character, he's ridiculous and I'm all for it, my favourite of the bunch. The new White Scars character is very nice too, the Suboden himself looks good but it's his bike that is the star of the show. I'm not a big fan of outrider bikes for marines but somehow this grav-bike really works for me and I would love to see them as an option for regular marines, if they don't turn up though that;s fine, I'm not going to begrudge White Scars having it as uniquely theirs. 

The others are god looking models but don't stand out as much for me, Lysander is a good update to his old model and I might pick him up in the future to sand off his Fist iconography and induct him into the Deathwing, the Iron hands guy too probably.

The repulsor bike is predictably ugly 

 

Vulkan, Lysander and the Iron hand are really good.

Less said about Shaan the better, only thing he has going for him is he doesn’t look as silly as Shrike
