I hope they dont bring grav bikes if they look like the disgusting block of turd that is the white scar bike, if it was bigger then maybe but it just looks bland! Its like that old chair speeder that FW was selling for 30k sometime ago but without all the nostalgia.

Primaris infantry just needs a bit cleaning imo, its a bunch of redundant options that were designed out of a need to not step into firstborn shoes but also not taken far enough to be truly different. Like do Intercessors need 3 types of bolters? Do Phobos units need 3 types of Bolters? Devastators are probably gonna stop existing sooner than later, why not collapse every Tacticus special weapon squad into one kit or unit? Tacticals will also become obsolete, why not recreate them in a new Intercessor box with actual options and not just ammo pouches, Reivers need an actual role and all the Phobos units need something other than slightly different bolters imo.

The whole paradigm with  which Primaris were designed at first is no longer valid imo and GW have been bringing back old units and straight up updating them sort of proves that so why not go all the way and pull the band aid off and just condense a lot of the unnecessarily redundant Primaris range to make it more like an actual update to the Astartes range instead of the weird half measure with which every model has been designed so far, just get it over with and remove all the firstborn stuff already, we all knew it was coming but GW was too hung up on not pissing off their base while wanting to do something completely different with the range.

GW will bring back upscaled Firstborn when they redo the Badab War. The idea of Firstborn being dead is not a thing because otherwise Saber wouldn´t have been allowed to give players an angry MK7 helmet in SM2.

Is the IF box likely to be 130€? Also, do we think the transfer sheet will include Crimson Fist decals?

They said during the reveal stream that it does include Crimson Fist ones as well, I think that's one of the reasons there's 500 something on the sheet rather than a more normal 300 something

Yes just confirmed by one of my FLGS. In euros:

Anthon Shaan and Lysander: 35

Combat Patrols 130

Sekhetar Robots: 40

Looking forward to Badab part 2. Primaris Boogaloo.

Or maybe it could be because they did MK7 heads for the Grey Hunter and Sternguard kits? Just a thought.

They also teased more helmet variations with the incoming update like this MkVI and MkVII, while the existing ones are a relatively unadorned MkVI and two variants of MkVIII one of which is ravenwing styled.

Fluff article for Aethon Shaan.

Poor Severax cannot stop taking Ls, even long after he's dead.

This art is cool though:

Makes sense that Lysander would be a 1st company detachment sidegrade but I can’t have been the only one expecting it to be Anvil Siege Force.

Either way it's a lame and lazy detachment just like the Vulkan one. I dread reading the Raven Guard one later.

Dang, Emperor's Shield is a straight glow-up. Still somewhat niche because I think it still relies too much on OoM to get things done relative to what the recommended units can do without it.

Raven Guard Vanguard has some nice tweaks to help support at least one jump pack squad assuming I'm reading it right. Shrike gives his unit the Phobos keyword so they can be targeted by Advance and Charge strat. Because of the detachment rule for Shaan, you can have 2 Phobos/Scout units and Shrike's unit (Shrike's special rule) leave the board for Strategic Redeployment.

Overall: 7/10.

I like the Imperial Fist one! I think its actually pretty good.

What takes it down is Terminators just aint a great Datasheet. But i think you can make a pretty cool combo with Lysander and 10 regular Terminators.

Give them Cyclones and let them shoot on the Oath target. Hits on 2s with full rerolls. +1 to wound with full rerolls. For 1 cp you can get +1 ap and ignore cover.

I think that will kill a lot of stuff. And if they are not engaged in the enemys turn? Pick them up for a cp and deep strike them next turn to do it all again.

That won't kill what it should for a unit that's hitting well over 400 points. The problem is strictly the base Terminators, both variants. If there was ANY access to Deathwing Knights or Deathwatch Terminators, it'd be one thing.

Potential for a fun combo: BG Ancient deeds of heroism +1A to unit models plus Champion of the Feast +1A to unit models, plus captain’s finest hour for +3A to him with dev wounds, and a free fury of the first means 11 S5 AP2 D2 dev wounds plus up to 36 more without dev wounds all hitting on 2s and rerolling hit rolls of 1.

You lost me with the Blade Guard Ancient. Even if the Captain has the Dev Wound ability up, I'd rather take a Lieutenant as a second character because the Lethal Hits on those 36 other attacks is infinitely more useful than that extra fished Dev Wound.

Oh it was legit just trying to think of how many attacks you could pull off, but I forgot about the lieutenants power sword.

So apparently Aethon Shan is 85 points. At this point, a shadowmark detachment is looking fairly decent to play with such an aggressively pointed character who can just terrorise anything loose by himself. Got a Eversor Assassin like kill ability but with far greater utility.

85 points...they really want him to sell

I had a look at his rules. He's one of the best Astartes characters.

Does anyone know if the Imperial Fist CP box contains an upgrade sprue or not?

The WHC article doesn't explicitly mention one, but the stock Intercessor models have components from the sprue on them.

Anyone got any guesses?

We haven't gotten a store page for any of the new Combat Patrols so we don't have a firm grasp. WHC makes it seem like no, but those shoulder pads all look like not transfers.

Edit: Spaced on the Salamanders one; they didn't include their upgrade sprue so it feels like it probably won't, which is a huge bummer.  2x Upgrade Sprue feels like a fair value add for these like the Supplement Combat Patrols got.
