Have you considered this model is too cool to criticise for any reason and you should be confined into solitary for your heretical words?

I mean, I really didn't give a criticism of the model itself to be fair, just the concept of redundancy. I think all the models are a home run, especially the Iron Hands dude with the power equivalent of a baseball bat with nails/studs in it.

The handle bars actually would give him more leverage for slashing over a normal lightning claw. Perfectly functional with historical basis (see ninja Tekki-kagi)

Those look better than this. Why does he need leverage when the claws are already bolted into his armour? They aren't something he has to hold with his hands. It just feels fiddly if you consider that he as a pistol in a holster. It's a nitpick, but in this hobby anything you don't like can be easily changed. With some cleaning and kitbashing he'll make for a fine Shrike model.

Because there is power in the wrist and hand that isn't being used if it's just making use of the forearm. His Super humanly strong wrist and hand. Leverage and power being left on the table.

If I get one, he will be Shrike with a new set of armour.  I'm not a fan of the whole idea that Shrike decided to stand down.  Shrike's old miniature will become a different character.  It also looks a bit busy for what is supposed to be a sneaky-beaky chapter.

We need a really good explanation and lore reason for Shrike to stand down. This isn't something that really happens outside of a Chapter Master being killed or disgraced in some way.

"C'mon Shrike, you need to bling up for the meeting with Guilliman."

"NO! I wanna skulk in the shadows and be edgy."

"Alright, that's it. We're gonna take the new guy instead. He's already started showing off."

"Fine. Leave me alone so I can go brood with the Reivers behind the bike shed."

Shrike has been on record multiple times that he does not enjoy chapter master status, going so far as launching a competition to find his replacement. That way he also gets to avoid administrative duties.

I pointed out a while back that the Shrike model didn't appear to be designed as a Chapter Master model anyway. From the 40mm base up through the paint job which retained his third company heraldry. Seemed like he was just a minimal-effort upgrade to the existing Firstborn model while they figured out who was going to be "the" Chapter Master and what his model would look like.

Somewhere along the way, the joke went too far.

No Kantor unfortunately, but doesn't look like he's losing his datasheet, so maybe he'll get his model one the end-of-edition narrative campaign comes around.

Love them all, Raven Guard is deffo #1

To the Pain Glove with you!

I do wish there was a multipart Outrider kit, it would have made the White Scars Combat Patrol perfect.

Man, I’m not gonna lie, was really hoping for a Primaris Sicarius. One of my first models ever.

I'm honestly a little surprised the Ultramarines didn't get a new character. They've been GW's special good boys for years now. The idea of new First Founding chapter releases not having a model for them seems improbable, but here we are.

The Imperial Fist combat patrol seems like such a great box to me. The Iron Hands one… not so much. Also bummed we didn’t get Kantor, Assault Terminators or multipart Outriders, but hopefully those are inbound in the next 6-9 months.

Aethon certainly wouldn't look out of place hanging out next to Grimnar or Helbrecht, certainly. The Cool Chapter Master Club.

Love all of them, even Lysander even tho I think he should have stayed lost for another 1000 years.

What do we reckon will happen with Shrike? Go back to being a Captain? Maybe the Chapters Champion? Do we have precedence for a Chapter Master voluntarily cedeing their seat and going back to being a Captain?

It might be copium but I'm still holding out that Kantor gets a model this edition. The rumor is that next edition focuses a lot on orks, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that the end-of-edition narrative deals with them a lot, too, and given the Crimson Fists' history with orks, it only seems natural for them to be involved.

Personally, if you ask me about what'll happen at the end of 10th, I'd say that I don't think we're quite out of the woods on Armageddon just yet.

I really like Aethen Shaan and Suboden Khan.

for me the best models in the lineup. I do think the streamers on shaan could have been omitted, but I like the raven cloak more than I should lol. The bike is very cool and I want them as a unit... but also accept that white scars deserve something unique!

Lysander is okay, a bit of a dull update overall, its fine, but just... sort of ho-hum, I like Vulkan, his pose is nice, but im a sucker for striding poses. Not a fan of the under-wrist flamer though, looks awkward. Caanok Var is not interesting to me, very plain, but that fits I guess. I like his weapon and the servo skulls.

Im a bit hacked off the ultramarines get nothing. They are in a really awkward spot where they arent a special snowflake chapter, but arent the ones that never get anything.

The models look great though. Not sure I like the lore behind the RG CM. It's nice to see the Scars finally get a bike dude too.

The endless reboxing of space marine kits just hit me as very lazy on GW's part. There's so much they could be doing instead yet it seems all we are getting are quick character one-offs. I do find that primaris beakies are much better than the original versions; lazy grav bike and you'd think with all this grav tech being thrown around GW would bring back grav weapons, maybe a better conversion beamer to make a primaris devastator replacement or a Halo esque gravity hammer for some tarpit melee unit that causes units hit by the hammer to -1 to hit and roll battleshock
