I'm happy such a document was created. Impressed with the effort, even if it might have been reactionary.

Now, if the Legion specific rules can just be revamped, perhaps as a legacy format, we'd be golden and I'd get back into 3.0.

On the topic of Ultramarines is it just me or should the Locutarus have Vanguard? The Praetorian Breachers don't have line or vanguard either no Ultramarines special unit does. It's like they really want the backbone of Ultra armies to be Vanilla units... Wich is fine I geuss since we got so many bangers with the new veteran types and the siege terminators god I love them.

I suspect so yes - standard units for holding ground and scoring points, then additional stuff for flavour.

The Ophanim court are fantastic but I think the Sanguinary guard gained access to combat shields no? Still very close to a command squad.

...

My notes weren't intended to be exhaustive.

Yes, they have access to combat shields but lose out on any special pistols as a consequence. Depending on how you use Sanguinary, that may be a problem.

I have just spotted that the Hammerfall Bunker is included - was it always the case this could be used in Heresy? I hadn't spotted it before (but that might just be me).

It was included in Legacies in 2.0 though it remains a weird addition.

1000%

Always felt like a desperate "Oh god, these didn't sell AT ALL!!!... Please, PLEASE Slap them into another game system for potential stock clearing! BUY THEM PLEASE OH GOD WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!"

Nah, makes total sense. You'd have to be a pretty dumb Praetor to choose a normal bike over a Jetbike.

So you are saying between the lines that it is not a smart move for our junior officer riding his off-road BMX without a helmet?

Something I find worth pointing out for anyone else working on Death Guard: no you can't give the alchem casters (aka poisoned hand flamers) to moritats or destroyers as they don't have access to the pistol list. That's something I keep seeing brought up so I figured I'd mention it here.

Which is nuts. It's not a legacy unit, it's new. Nobody had tartaros whereby everyone had a heavy weapon.

Read the siege squad blurb. They were clearly going to (and may yet) give Tartaros terminators only power weapons and maybe lightning claws, but due to the reaction and the fact there are power fists in the box, errata’d them back in. But then they’d made up the siege squad, so decided to double down on the heavy thing by giving them more dakka.

I personally think we should compile a list of missing units and mistakes and send it to games workshop.

Stuff like moritats and their pistols, IFs missing their assault cannons, Javelins missing pintle weapons…

I had read it. I understand the implications and what it suggests.

However, the point of legacy document is to give us access to units we had, that aren't in the libers. At no point previously have we had tartaros with full heavy weapon options for all. It just seems odd. I've no doubt we'll see an updated tartaros kit with just power weapons though and no fists/ claws or chainfists.

That is why I think the heavy weapons thing was a last minute fudge - to justify the creation of the unit after they errata’d the heavier terminator melee weapons back into the standard Tartaros squads.

Same but I think having Fists back is just a reprieve. When the updated kit is released is when we know if the change is permanent.

There will probably be variants like this released in Journals as each new terminator type comes out. Saturnine first, so everyone spends the money, then Cataphractii (what the people actually want), then Tartaros.

Speak for yourself, I love tartaros :p

Same.

And I hope that if they do take away fists etc with a new kit that they release a weapons kit sprue down the line with them.

It wouldn't be the end of the world not being able to take fists and such but I would miss the option.

Seriously, though, chaps.
Why don't we crowd source the things that are still missing, and present them en-bloc to GW?
If multiple people point out what's missing, we'll find them faster, and then we can all send the same list to the FAQ email.

Tartaros becomes a much more interesting pattern when you pronounce it like you were born in Liverpool.

Taaaahtaross.

Wrong. It´s pronounced this way:
