Surprised at how cheap they are tbh. Only 20pts more than the standard squad for three dudes with WS5. That said, the cost does rapidly go up if you start giving them ranged weapons, but it still feels like this will become the 'default' way people run their Saturnine going forward (unless you're rocking dual-plasma which is already a niche build it feels).

Dual-Fists seem pretty good for the stock option honestly, despite being the cheapest. I guess the main limitation if you're not 3D printing will be the lack of right-handed fists (barring the single you get in the Praetor kit). Particle Shredders being cheaper than the Plasma Blaster is funny.

This seems tailored made for those folks who bought 2 to 7 copies of Saturnine.

It does seem neat though. WS 5 makes their fists a lot more viable, and axe + fist and particle shredder seems like a strong choice, though the same points in autocannon HSS will eat this squad in 1 turn.

400-500+pts is a lot of points in one unit that's melee focused but extremely slow.

So, either we are getting a Saturnine Command Squad box. Or we are getting an upgrade box for the existing kit.

Either way, it will indicate what we will get once Tartaros and Cataphracti are updated.

Not necessarily, the whole point of these journals is to do things that they don’t have to support with models. Even their official photography has conversions in it.

Nope, these are explicitly conversions.

HH and TOW are to a degree exempt from No Models, No Rules.

There's a possibility of a set from FW o something similar, but I think it's an small one. Something similar happens with the Master of Descent in the Istvaan V supplement. They don't say "create your own model with..." like the other units, so I believe that opens a possibility of a release. But if that happens, it would be in FW Resin, not in plastic.

Quite a cool unit, I would have expected a melee upgrade sprue for saturnine first. Am I missing something but they're missing the rule that lets them shoot 2x weapons, but they can actually take a plasma bombards and a plasma blaster each? Maybe it's for the dual fist models.

Really keen to put a double fist Saturnine Command squad together. I like that the unit starts at two as well.

Very curious to see the WB Anointed rules as I've wanted to see the XVII receive a Terminator unit for ages.

Very cool, solid array of options. The Anointed are utterly lethal.

Bit of a bizarre decision not to put a single WHC article out advertising the journal though.

The saturnine retinue and the phraetus squad look cool, but they are so very slow, I wonder if they will catch anyone, except when they are White Scars or Space Wolves.

Also, no teleport transponder for the centurion looks like a bummer.
