My local club is running a double elimination tournament soon, and I think it would be fun to enter with little to no expectation. The only current armies I have rules for are nids and eldar, and my nids seem woefully off-meta, so Eldar it is!

I've come up with a quick list, please let me know what you think of it in terms of competitiveness!

125 - Asyurmen

80 - Autarch wayleaper, glaive, fusion gun

120 - Fuegan

120 - Lykhis

90 - 5 dark reapers

75 - 5 dire evengers

220 - 10 fire fragons, exarch dragon fusion gun (or is the firepike better?)

95 - 5 banshees, executioner

95 - 5 banshees - executioner

55 - 5 rangers

55 - 5 rangers

190 - 10 swooping hawks (seem nasty with the grenade pack ability)

45 - 1x warlock skyrunner (perfect action mon-keigh)

95 - 5 warp spiders - I've gone for exarchs ddeath spinner, but is the spinneret better?

95 - 5 warp spiders - same as above

85 - 5 scorpions - biting blade

130 - falcon - pulse laser, scatter laser

125 - wave serpent, twin lances

85 - war walker - twin lances

1980pts - I can swap the warlock to a vyper to get 2000 on the nose, or save it for an enhancement.

What do you think?

Seems grand! Hard to go wrong with a heap of aspects and Lords right now, so should be fun if you can avoid getting punched.

If you have some windriders I always find them crazy useful, and 2x3 of them might be better than Asurmen + 5 DA depending on your style

You might be better off with 2x5 Dragons rather than 1x10. Then I'd also swap Autarch to the infantry guy in the second unit because I think he does more there than in Spiders who are fine as bare 5-man to support Lhykis' unit. I had 5 dragons and an Autarch level a Stormsurge in one activation on Thursday, and it means you can put 5 dragons plus a character in each transport, then top up the serpent with whatever other 5-man makes sense at the time.

Same thing with Hawks - I'd probably do 2x5 for flexibility instead of 1x10.

These are all small tactical choices tho... generally you're definitely on the right track.

Enhancement are mostly fine if you have no choice, but I'd do the vyper personally - always better to have another unit in my book, and if it's a unit that might kill something and has a sneaky debuff, all the better!

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.
