Been pushing for a Cthonian character for awhile now, I'm ecstatic. The Votann now have a Tyranid focused character in Buri Thrice-Devoured and an Ork focus with Berehk the Waaaghbreaker. Do we get a Grimnyr stomping on an Aeldari next? Those are the big 3 for us

I fully support any stomping when it involves Eldar, but it would be nice to get a character with only Votann parts on the model.

Can this new guy be built without the Ork head? Hopefully he does come with an option to just be holding up a fist, or pointing to the next guy who is about to get smashed.

Currently the only restriction Farsight has is that he can't be in an army with Ethereals.

I'm probably behind the times, but can Enclaves armies take stealth units now?

Neither WarCom nor the streamed showed any alternative build options, so I doubt it. Shouldn't be too difficult to carve away the Ork head at least, or replace that hand at the wrist since it's an augmetic.

Would have been nice to get a generic option though, even if it was just an arm and head swap.

Awesome Votann character, really cool. Tau couple are also nice. Tyranid is nice, but less spectacular than I expected. Functional, nice, but a bit less cool than the other two above.

Love the new Tau characters. The new Tyranid model is also nice to have, but I would have rather had an update to the Tyranid Warriors.

Pretty fun reveal show though. I didn't think Tau and Tyranids were getting anything at all, so I'm really happy we got some attention.

Please no. The Warrior kit is honestly a really good one, is really fun to convert and it's one of the few surviving ball-joint Tyranid kits.

Quite surprised to see another Votann miniature so soon after the 2nd wave released. Do quite like him, although I think he could maybe have done with *slightly* more unique decoration beyond just the belt.

Those Tau battlesuits are great though, they remind me of the classic forgeworld suits somewhat.

The only army restriction is that you can't have Farsight and Ethereals in the same list. Otherwise, there are no limitations. Farsight can go with Shadowsun and Darkstriker, despite being loyalists. He can be with stealth units and auxillaries.

Hard disagree, personally. While the ball joints are nice, the range being stuck between the 3e/4e design language (even if many kits are newer than that or have been re-cut/re-released in plastic) and the 10e "high definition" look is stopping me from getting back into Tyranids because I can't get everything I want with a coherent level of sharpness and detail. With Warriors being the biggest single sticking point for me.

They could in 3rd edition, just 0-1, and that's the last time there was a restriction on them from my recollection.

I think after that it was just special characters and Ethereals they couldn't have.

Huh, you're right. I could have sworn in seventh there was a restriction on stealth units. Best I can figure is that I think you had to take them as part of a Hunter Cadre (or Stealth Suits without a Ghostkeel as part of a Rapid Insertion Force) rather than having a stealth-specific formation like the main codex had. But yeah, seems you could always take them.

Yeah since getting the Leviathan Nids I’m staying away from anything pre-Leviathan until they’re updated. I didn’t think anything was that much more detailed until I actually had them in my hand.

These are the first models in a little while I’m not overly keen on. The Votann just seems a tad ‘meh’ and busy.

I don’t like the ‘ribbons’ on the Tau - particularly those that weave through the armour, and I also think the recessed parts of the armour look out of place. That said, I can see that different paint job might really help them out!
