The Heatwave the hit the UK for the last third of May hit my progress to a crawl, especially on the smaller scale stuff, but I'd got enough of a start in early that I'm only rolling over the 8 LI tanks and one piece of BSF terrain.

Additional Completions, the Traitor guard, the remaining Sanctifiers (plus group shot), the HH tacticals (and with their squad mates) and the BSF terrain I got done.

Well I got these guys done in the first couple of weeks of the month but then got too distracted with news of the Call to Arms starting and have been hard down working on getting stuff prepped for that.  Annoyed at myself for not getting more done but hopefully can turn that around moving into June and the Call.  I'll hopefully get an update or too for my own log soon.

Anyway, my measily redo and basing vow; done

I know its cliche, but they look better in person...

@Brother Christopher They look fantastic, great work! What purple is that? It's sooooo nice

There's no easy answer since this is a 'purple of discovery:' I'm doing a fair bit of improvisation here, altering the formula and methods each squad, but:

- black undercoat;

- base colour and 'shadows:' phoenician purple (Citadel);

- followed by Hexen Lichen (Vallejo) in the more exposed areas;

- followed by a highlight of Hexen Lichen + Alien Purple (Vallejo) (1:1) on the most exposed areas;

For edge highlighting, I start with a a rough mix of Hexen Lichen + Alien Purple (1:2) followed by a lighter highlight of Lustful Purple (Vallejo) mixed 'to taste' with Emperor's Children (Citadel) for that warm, magenta tone.
