I have a funny feeling that I'm going to be painting a lot of orks later in the year so I'm going to mix things up a bit before then :D  I, andes, continue the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge and for the month of April pledge to complete a Plague Marine Champion, who will be a Heavy Trooper for my Araheim Kill Team. He's green so I'm sure he'll get along famously with my Commander.

I have no idea what progress I'll make in April, as it completely depends on the weather, with Spring taking priority over painting if I can get out.

 

Having said that, I'm going to be targetting:

-The 5 HH marines that I didn't get to last month

-4 LI Vanquishers

-A Sanctifiers Kill team

-some LI terrain

-9 more pieces of Blackstone fortress terrain

 

Along with completing the Primaris kill team I didn;t quite get done in March and progressing a full sized Russ to the poin I have a chance of finishing it in May.

Week in already and I haven't made a vow...

 

Have been working on these guys already for the past couple of days but forgot to post them.  Already a day or so behind where I wanted to be for Combat Patrol.  Not boding well for when I can't even get two guys done in the time frame I wanted but, no matter.

 

I, Brother Argent, vow for the month of April to complete: 1x Terminator Captain and 1x Winged Tyranid Prime.

 

Most of the last week was spent reposing/kitbashing them so they wouldn't look like the others I already have from Leviathan.  Busted out some very old bits on the Captain including an old Terminator head and fist as well as some resin basing bits from when they first released Cities of Death.

Update on Ancient

 

 

Just mocked up not glued together. Still to do:

• Banner pole, crossbar and icon need to be painted and Decals applied
• Chapter Shoulder pad needs another layer of colors, and washed, and coated for decals
• Ancient needs decals applied
• Slime effects to water
• Weather, oil stain, blood, and rust base and model
• Base ring

I think I’ll have a ponder about what else, I should get more done but our bio-titan is due imminently and I’ve heard that they lay waste to your hobby time

I am still working on my plodding along, with the 2 missing hills done as well as all the various parts from the Ryza pattern ruins (2nd hand material, probably from Hachette subscription and, as you can see with uneven number of parts - but it was cheap).
This time I have changed my paint scheme going to blue plascrete ruins instead of incubi dark ones as for my Fronteris set.

There are also a series of accessories coming from the battle for maccrage boxed-set: force field fence and beacon.

Next steps are the special characeters enlisted and the proxy inquisitor. These will probably be finished by end of the week: longer daylight and pityful TV show broadcasting leaves time for hobbying !

It is another month where I suspect most of my hobby time will be Old World related, so only painting one 40k model this month, a Heavy for the Campaign.

I have had this one sitting around built for some years now and I guess he could be a Heavy for a AdMech Kill team.
