What Model/Unit Would You Like to Add to Your Armies?

I'd also like to see some sort of sonic vehicles/walkers. Doesn't have to be the sonic predator and dreadnought of yesteryear (a forgefiend variant with blastmasters for arms and a rolling death concert a la exorcist would also be neat, for example).

Tyranids need Shrikes/winged Warriors like, yesterday. We have a winged Prime now after all! I'd also like to see a return of the Dactylis. The idea of a "super Biovore" that flings its spore mines via enormous trebuchet-like arms as opposed to a bio-cannon would be pretty cool.

 

Tau could do with more grav-tanks IMO. I've said before but an artillery piece that uses a drone-guided smart-mortar would be nice?

As a big fan of the Emperor's Children (and a big fan of the Emperor's Children because of the Sonic Cult), the... sort of, "rejection" and sidelining of the Sonic Cult by many fans (who seem to prefer that the post-Heresy Legion be more akin to the pre-Heresy one) and the rules writers of the 2025 Codex, creates a quandary.

 

If the Sonic Cult is not foundational to the Third, should further exploration of the Emperor's Children favour it? Would it be a good idea to have Sonic Dreadnoughts and Sonic Cult tanks if the Emperor's Children are not "the Sonic Cult army"? 

 

(I do think there's still a good chance, of course. The new model range still included a wide variety of overt Sonic Cult motifs in all the kits - even if only a duo of heads in the Flawless Blades - while the lore writers still mentioned things like Emperor's Children vehicles being fitted with Warp Amplifiers and Scream Hailers, and made mention of previously unheard of things like 'Howl Talon' Sonic melee weapons, Sonic grenade harnesses, mile-long Sonic armaments on voidships, etc. So if the sculptors still like the Sonic Cult, we could get them.)

I feel this is a situation brought on by the previous model availability and the Horus Heresy's rise in popularity.

 

Old Noise Marines were essentially Chaos Tacticals with an upgrade sprue to give them Sonic Weapons.

The "default" loadout for them wasn't the Sonic, but the Bolters and Chainswords the base kit came with.

 

Additionally, much of "modern" EC Lore comes from the Horus Heresy, where the Sonic/Noise Marine representation is in the form of the Kakaphoni who are depicted as Heavy Weapon/Havoc type troops.

 

These combine together to create a situation where we have "basic" Noise Marines with their Bolters and Chainsword builds and "heavy" Noise Marines with actual Sonic weapons (even tho the Tabletop didn't treat them as Heavy).

 

So yeah, you can blame the Horus Heresy for the Sonic representation being lessened in the Codex.

Hopefully more Sonic stuff returns and there's definite references to the Sonic theming by the designers, so I wouldn't be surprised if it turns up eventually, tho probably dripfed over a couple editions.

For T.sons, echoing some of what is already mentioned.

-Non-astartes psykers/thrall wizards- I think this is coming anyway, with Magnus throwing out his summing/psyker invitation. 
-It's a meme at this point, but...our rubric and/or psychic dread. 
-Assuming flyers are sticking around, the Doomwing/Firelord from Epic. 
-Silver shards, micro silver towers, floating towers that go zap zap. 

Chaos in general:
Since its inevitable some of the older predator. rhino, land raider kits are going to retire at some point, Would love it if GW took the newer 30k kits from HH for the rhino, land raider, vindicator, predator and re-boxed and created a big chaos sprue with a ton of options to "chaos-ify" your vehicles and enough to do the same for the god legions. BAM! new models to sell using already existing newer sprues. 

Chaos is long overdue on getting its own special land raider variant.


I'm going to say it....Pariahs. I would love to see updated and new Pariahs for Necrons.

I couldn't agree with you more Ahzek. Giving the Demios Rhino/Predator a Chaos upgrade sprue and repackaging it for 40k would be awesome. 

 

If Primaris are only going to be Grav tanks then it's even more important that Chaos keeps tracked tanks.
