I had an idea for a Deathwatch Kill Team, featuring the most disliked, disreputable and downright dastardly Loyalist Chapters tossed together into a single unit.

Obvioulsly,  the Marines Malevolent have a spot... but who else fits the bill?

Angels of Redemption, but don't expect them to still be there when you turn around - or need them.

Whichever comes first.

Blood Ravens have a meme-worthy reputation for stealing any artefacts that are not nailed down.

If they are nailed down they steal them and they nails while they are at it.

You could use a bunch of parts from the various chapter upgrade sprues with ravens painted over the iconography

I would look to add both Chapters who have done periods as renegades like the Soul Drinkers (mud sticks) and those Chapters too closely linked to the Inquisition who chase those renegades down (nobody likes a rat).

A bit of an obscure pick for me- The Red Hunters. Basically the Inquisition's personal chapter, get mindwiped between assignments. Basically Space Feds.

I'd argue the Carcharodons/Space Sharks to some degree for their sheer brutality and slightly, uh, questionable treatment of other Marines (though not Minotaurs level).

Outside of canon chapters, one of my homebrew chapters (the Death Crusaders) could qualify too- admittedly they're actually pretty decent to Imperial citizenry and the Guard, and aren't "What is collateral damage? Funny way to spell bonus points!" like the Marines Malevolent, but they're still incredibly ends-justify-means minded, do not give a flying fart what other Imperial institutions think of them and deliberately antagonize other Astartes chapters, including their most likely parent chapter, the Dark Angels. They'd have been censured long ago if they weren't A: incredibly loyal, B: extremely effective, C: willing to go into combat zones no other chapter would and D: one of the main bulwarks against the foes of the Imperium in the benighted Abysmus Sector. Also the fact their Chapter Master is a scary enough individual that Custodes find him a little intimidating.

This legit is such a good idea.  As in, The Redeemed, and part of their redemption is to serve the Inquisition that hates them.

I wouldn't even go that far.  Just put together a bunch of "fallen" Dark Angels as Black Shields in the Deathwatch Kill Team.

Angry Marines.

Not so sure about current lore, but the Iron Hands were the most brutal of the big 8 chapters. There’s a blurb in the 5th ed codex about how they put down a chaos rebellion in a sub sector called Contqual, executing the populations of entire planets along the way. After the entire subsector was pacified, they took an additional year to execute a third of the remaining population as punishment fir allowing such corruption to occur.

I totally forgot about the Iron Hands. They’re also known for attacking fellow loyalist Space Marine Chapters, stealing Dreadnoughts and blowing up their flagship. (See the Hospitallers Chapter)

Yeah the Iron Hands don't mess around.

Maybe the Space Rats? Nothing about them say they are disreputable, but they have spent a millenium isolated likley leading to strange traditions, have a two-tailed rat as their symbol, and have notably mutated gene-seed (giving them infravision and some kind of telepathic ability). Feels like a combination that would make many other chapter give them side eyes.

Yeah, I really wish they'd have stuck with that, but unfortunately current lore has Kardan "Percival Pureheart" Stronos challenging chaos to a pillow fight.

As horrifying as this sounds, I'm strangely intrigued.
