Really looking forward to this, it'll be great to keep track of what I've actually done in a year and I'm really looking forward to seeing what everybody gets up to! I am definitely guilty of being a hobby butterfly so I can't predict what I'll be working on in a few weeks let alone for the entire year, so this thread might be a bit of a tour of the 40k universe more than a coherent army. I'm an incorrigible converter so those are highly likely to be a feature of my entries, which is either creative or a pathological inability to follow instructions depending on your point of view To kick things off I'm planning on converting/scratchbuilding a hell blade fighter for my world eaters, based on the wing blade things from the Heldrake and the turret from a stormraven gunship. It's early days yet but I've laid out the bones of the idea on my hobby desk: Whether or not I paint this in my world eater colours or my traitor guard scheme is an open question at the moment. Brother Anderson Posted January 2 Author Share Posted January 2 While waiting for milliput to dry for the hell blade I converted up and primed some Bloodcrushers for my world eaters, I prefer having marines rather than bloodletters riding them because it ties them in to the rest of the army. Brother Anderson Posted January 3 Author Share Posted January 3 That's one unit completed, three Bloodcrushers finished as my first unit of the year. Work continues on the Hell Blade conversion but it's going to be a bit of a slow burn I think, so I've made a start and primed the Eldar farseer and warlocks set that had an MTO last year. I figure I'll add my bingo card to the first post for ease of reference. You could even count it for 3 units if the Seer is counted as a character/psyker entry too... It would boost up your stats and would be perfectly acceptable IMHO. There is a farseer in there too that came with the MTO, though I forgot to include it in the proof picture so I hadn't claimed it. Thank you for saying that, though while I'm not the best painter I do spend a lot of time doing it which means I've got a pretty high throughput; so I'm being strict with what I count towards the bingo total for myself. These guys are craftworld lugganath which are basically corsairs anyway so I'll definitely be leaning into those when they're released.
