Grotsmasha
1. How do I choose my Faction? - Your Faction, and Secret Agenda, is determined by which Model you choose to be your Leader. Lets say you've decided to paint your Blackstone Fortress Heroes for this Challenge. If you choose Rein and/or Raus as your Leader, your Faction would be Ratlings. Hoxever, were you to choose Dahyak Grekh, the Kroot Tracker, your Faction and Secret Agenda will be T'au. 2. Does my Kill Team have to be "Game Legal"? - NO!! Rule of Cool here, feel free to mix and match your collection to fit the monthly model target. Preferrably it would be a fluffy / plausable choice, but it's not required. 3. What happens if I miss a month...or three? - Your team will NOT gain that months model buffs, you may however catchup the missing models at any time, and may choose to skip the models you've missed and pickup in whatever the current month is. 4. I've joined the Campaign mid-year, how can I catchup? - You may makeup the missing models up to the current month at your own pace, you may skip members if you choose, BUT you MUST include your Leader model before any Actions may be Taken. 5. Can I run multiple Teams? - Yes, BUT, all Campaign Rules for Attacking, Defending, and Posture apply, no free passes to your Teams. 6. What if my Faction / Team doesn't have an appropriate unit / model for the Month? E.G. Heretic Astartes don't have Medics / Apothecaries. - Each Model adds a ATT or DEF buff to the team, an appropriate model for that buff will be acceptable. The Medic add a DEF buff, so a Faction model that looks to add a DEF buff would be appropriate. No, there was a typo on my behalf, the Campaign officially starts with March's Completion. However, January and February's Badges WILL give each Participant a starting pile of REQ (Requisition). Valkia the Bloody
Not sure if I am viable anymore? I realized that at the moment, batch painting is the way to go concerning my motivation. I think I can finish my Night Lords Team in March, I will be away for several weeks in April so might have to miss out for April. I am not sure if I can finish the leaders of my other teams (Beastmen, Rogue Trader) in time for the March start (real life work is a bit crazy right now). I will sign up with my Night Lords, and see how it goes? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6158930 Share on other sites

Just be sure to post them in the main thread to gain the "Completion" for that month to count to the Campaign. If you're going to be away in April, just grab a solo pic of April's model (The Heavy) and post it then. Heraclite
If a "required" model is completed ahead of its designated month. Does it grant the associated bonus or does it only come into effect once the target month is passed? and another semi related question, if you have several members of the kill team that fit the archetype, do you get the bonus for each completed member or only once ? for example, in the last chancers team you have a missile launcher and a heavy bolter, if I complete both in april, do they both grant + 2 ATT to the squad total or do I only get it once for completing at least one operative that fit the "heavy trooper" archetype? list of operatives (apart from commander) for reference : Spoiler Apr - Heavy Trooper - any model with a "Heavy" weapon. Add +2 ATT to the Squad total May - Trooper - any standard "Squad" model. Adds +1 ATT / +1 DEF to Squad total Jun - Comms - any standard "Squad" model with "Comms" devices. Adds +2 DEF to Squad total Jul - Medic - any standard "Squad" model with a "Medical" devices. Adds +2 DEF to Squad total Aug - Trooper - any standard "Squad" model. Adds +1 ATT / +1 DEF to Squad total Sep - Demo - any standard "Squad" model with "Demolitions" devices. Adds +2 DEF to Squad total Oct - Special- any standard "Squad" model with a "Special" weapon. Adds +2 ATT to Squad total Nov - Trooper - any standard "Squad" model. Adds +1 ATT / +1 DEF to Squad total Dec - Trooper - any standard "Squad" model. Adds +1 ATT / +1 DEF to Squad total edited for one more question : do you get the action points for getting the completed badge for the month even if it is not for the "required" model for the month in question (for example a totally different mini, not part of the kill team) Edited March 4 by Heraclite Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6159382 Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
1- No, the model will not count towards the Teams ATT / DEF until it's scheduled month. This is for balance. Where the teams will begin to differ is what they purchase with their REQ. 2- No, same as above for balance. 3- The Badges are not tied to the Campaign, earning the Completion and Seriously Badges with earn AP regardless Valkia the Bloody and Heraclite 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6159457 Share on other sites
gaurdian31
Does a Heavy Melee Weapon or Power First count as a Heavy Weapon or is it more like a Lascannon or Heavy Bolter? Sort of similar question does a pair of Lightning Claws or pair of Accursed Weapons work for Special weapons or is it more like a plasma gun or meltagun? Grotsmasha
To accomodate ALL the Factions, Heavy Weapon covers anything that would do more damage (ranged or melee) vs a more common / standard weapon. So, you Power Fists for Heavys, and LCs for Special is all good Valkia the Bloody, W.A.Rorie, Heraclite and 1 other 2 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6159801 Share on other sites

Heraclite
can you split your movement for 1 action? For exemple, if your faction has a movement range of 2 hexes, can you move 1 hex, perform an action, then move another hex for a grand total of two action points? or does each move count as one action, wether you move just 1hex or your total movement range gaurdian31 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6161366 Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
Yes, you may split Movement and Actions. With a Move of 2, you can move 1 Hex, perform a Secret Agena (or other Action, like Consecrating a Statue), then move to the second Hex for the 2AP. gaurdian31 and Heraclite 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6161450 Share on other sites
Heraclite
Quote 4. I've joined the Campaign mid-year, how can I catchup? - You may makeup the missing models up to the current month at your own pace, you may skip members if you choose, BUT you MUST include your Leader model before any Actions may be Taken. If you join the campaign mid year, do you catch up on the action points for the missed months if : 1) you completed the required operative 2) you earned the completed badge for the month In the event of running several teams (I'm still on the fence to add my scout kill team in the campaign for some extra incentive to paint them). Do you get the 3 action points only if you complete the relevant model for the team, or do you gain the 3 action points for both teams just for getting the completed badge. Are the extra action points for seriously and the requisitions for the other badges awarded for both teams or are they shared among the teams you run? gaurdian31 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6161543 Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
As each Kill Team is acting independently, each team will get the full compliment of AP and REQ earned for a month. (A Completion and Seriously would give each team you command 4AP for the month). The Commander model is what unlocks AP for a Kill Team. If you were to add a second Kill Team in July, that Kill Team would not retrospectively gain the APs from any previous month's, they would gain REQ from January to current. It would be my recommendation to complete the Commander sooner rather than later, even if you're planning on delaying the rest of the KT. This will allow the Commander to move still and make Secret Agenda Actions, his KT will just be under strength comparatively to the other Player / NPC units. Heraclite
Does buying stuff at the trader cost an action point on top of the requisition for the items? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6162203 Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
No. You'll need to o move to the Trader's Hex, but once there, it will only cost REQ to purchase items. gaurdian31
When using a Trader Hex do we state what we are purchasing? Like REQ 1 information or REQ 1 Fatigue stimms? Speaking of the stimms do those start immediately? Like if I stop at the trader and get the Fatigue stimms do I get 1 extra move this month or does it start next month? Are the purchases/moves going to be sent to you via PM or posted in the Campaign Starting Location thread? Grotsmasha
REQ: the value of REQ spent needs to be listed, if you'd like to keep the specifics private, you may list them in your Secret Agenda PM, otherwise otherwise just list the name in the move / actions list They will need to be "used" or "stored", please mention which for each item. You may stockpile months worth of Stimms etc this way. Moves and REQ spent in the campaign thread please, specifics o purchase up to you gaurdian31 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6164715 Share on other sites

Lord_Ikka
Since everything goes in an observable order, it does give advantages to both finishing first (being able to attack those lower on the order) and later (being able to see the moves of the higher up players). Both can be very useful, depending on how you play your cards. andes, gaurdian31 and Grotsmasha 1 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387410-faqs/#findComment-6164921 Share on other sites
