The current defiler is probably too much for the sculpt at £54.50 I'd be amazed if the new one is under £100.

I'm assuming it'll be the same price as a Knight Crusader, or maybe Fulgrim. So somewhere between $175-195USD.

I'm guessing somewhere in the Norn Emissary to Knight price bracket. It's not a named Character so it doesn't pay that tax.

With the prices being what they are nowadays, I have to absolutely agree. It's one of the many reasons why I don't collect or play anymore.

Did anyone determine the base size of this thing and if it matches the Norn Emissary? I wouldn't be surprised if GW adds on a few more bucks as they are prone to do on occasion with some of the big new models. Maybe around $150.

160mm round base. There isnt much in the game that uses it right now but it's notably bigger than a norn.

I think it's just the Necron Monolith that uses it in 40k, although in AoS it shows up relatively often for big centrepiece models like Archaon, Alarielle, Teclis, the new Zombie Dragon and, perhaps most relevant to this particular case, the Arachnarok.

Its got a base that's bigger than a knight's, and with its height and various options it appears to have as much plastic as a knight kit, so I would be surprised if it was any cheaper, money wise.

Tigershark and Orion/Ares have one, if that counts. 

 

I was going to use it for a Landraider (I base tanks) but it was a bit too small.

Ended up with a 200x155 oval from 3rd party.

@Orion, could you share the 3rd party?  I'm looking for a bigger base for my defiler kitbash, which is a bit too big for 160mm.
