I personaly haven't had much luck clearing out my own collection, but bundling series together (or in bundles of a couple of books for larger series) seems to move them quicker. I also recommend scouting the Sold Listings for your specific items to see what they're actually selling for vs what others have them listed for. I would also looking into shipping weight bands (for Oz its 500gram intervals) to offer the best value for postage, whether it's adding or dropping a book in a bundle.

For actual places to list eBay, and Warhammer Buy/Swap/Sell pages on Facebook Marketplace would be the best bets.

I think it's more to do with the ability to find niche markets who will recognise the value of your wares and both sides end up with a good deal. The Nutters are good folk, genuine fans, and selling there will mean you get a decent price and you know its going to a good home. Hell when I was still in groups I saw people sell their entire Heresy collections there for thousands.

Plus the admins are generally quite good at overseeing things and making sure people are on the up and up.

I've only used Ebay before (though not for books) but it has been always been good for me.

There are some places that do take books for cash but they may not give you very much. They may not understand the value.

It might be best to sell them in person. Perhaps ask around at local gw store/flgs

How safe is selling on Facebook compared to ebay? Is it that you meet people there then come to your own agreement how to sell? That seems less safe.

I've bought and sold through Facebook a number of times, happy to share my experience.

The biggest advantage to eBay is that you have a party to resolve any issues and protect both buyer and seller. While FB selling may seem like the Wild West in comparison, the bulk of risk IMO seems to be on the buyer rather than the seller.

This is why we always recommend ONLY using PayPal Goods & Services. If you do anything else- be it Venmo, PayPal Friends & Family (PFF), or anything else, as a buyer you have little protection. This is why scammers will try to get you to pay through one of the latter and avoid the former.

Goods & Services does charge the seller a small fee (which most sellers are happy to absorb by default), but it also acts as an intermediary to protect the involved parties and offer dispute resolution.

I have never had a problem, though I've never sold large collections (I did buy a near-full run of HH MMPB's this way last year, zero issues). If you're selling a collection, I'd also recommend you take the usual precautions. Take pictures of your books. Take pictures of how you've wrapped your books, waterproofing, etc, and also how you've packed them in the box. Small actions taken early can help prevent possible issues later on. Hope that helps!
