Anyone able to watch the video, and kind enough to provide a text-inload summary?

Reiterates IW combat patrol contents

NL combat patrol:

- The NL squad i can't remember the name of

- rhino

- chosen

- jump lord

Then mentions a "heresy era looking knight" as being the imperial foil in the new book, possibly with admech. Has a ranged arm and a selection of melee weapons, between armiger and questoris.

Book 4 armageddon, yarrick, 2 scout vehicles for guard.

Kill team GK vs khorne still around, eldar box as well.

Think that's a quick summary, watched it a couple hours ago so off top of my head.

A NL themed combat patrol sounds pretty good.

More variety for Guard vehicles is good too.

Assuming book 4 is April  does that make it more or less likely that 11th will drop in July rather than June?

Also does GW hate Steel Legion. It feels like every opportunity they get to do something they just roll right past it.

9th edition dropped in late July and Pariah was released June/July only a couple of weeks before it. ( it was the 6th campaign book released that year.)

10th edition dropped in June and AoO the Lion (5th campaign book) was released late april or early may I believe.

I think in both cases the last articles concerning the end of edition campaign and the first articles concerning the new edition fully overlap, there wasnt really a pause or anything.
edit : forgot this addition, there also isnt a consistent time period between books in most previous campaigns. Sometimes there is more than a month in between and sometimes they are only a couple of weeks apart... I even think 2 Psychic awakening books released at the same time ?

Only with gathering storm there was a constant month difference between each book and a significant time between the last book ( march I think ) and the next edition.. but these are really different times in many ways. Looking at 9th and 10th only makes more sense.  Even the AoS campaign ended in may and it had been going for quite a lot longer.

This ( combined with the randomness of some revealed miniatures appearing with Armageddon ) makes me consistently believe, not only do we have plenty of time for 4 books.. I think there might be a 5th as well. ( though that completely evading the rumors makes it less likely )

Much appreciated, @Mogger351 – and thanks @Inquisitor_Lensoven for sharing the video.

Scout vehicles for Guard sound interesting. We've seen the Tauros Venator pop up in Necromunda – that would have otherwise been my guess for inspiration, so I'll cross my fingers for something new.

And as for the poor Steel Legion (ever the bridesmaid), I'll just say that it'd be nice to have Yarrick come with a command squad, don't you think? I don't think it's completely beyond hope, given the more recent IG character releases; but I won't hold my breath.

He said a light tank and a half track, or maybe it’s the same vehicle, or maybe it’s 2

if we get a half track I’m hoping either for a baby hydra, or a transport

so like one autocannon and 4 stubbers

Or something like this, but not sure how it could be armed so it’s competitive with our preexisting transports.

I love halftracks, but I have zero faith in GW making a good looking one. I also find it extremly weird that they would add new vehicles to the roster, while Chimera and Leman Russ, the Guard vehicles per se, are sitting on old models. However, I would like to point out that Salamander Scout Tank was on the Chimera chassis, so there is possibility for a dual kit here.

Steel Legion, as I have said, super disappointing. As far as Praetorians, mentioned by Valrak among regiments he would like to see return, are concerned, I do not think that GW is interested in doing such "historical" regiments. Although, in 3 years there's a 150th anniverary of Isandlwana–Rorke's Drift....and the meltdown in some parts of the fanbase would be exquisite.

A half track transport and light tank may end up replacing the chimera.

Light tank...Centaur grand return maybe? More of a tankette than a light tank admittedly.

God emperor, I hope not

Chaos access to the new knight chassis as well we reckon or am I going to be a sad boy?

And no, having a completely new 3rd model class isn't equivalent to armigers having some different arms.

If it's a named Knight chances are it won't be shared. However, being an entirely new chassis probably means it's not named, so there's definitely a chance Chaos Knights will get access to it as well. It's not guaranteed however, they didn't get access to the Knight Defender and they probably won't. But again, new chassis so who knows.

Am I going to get one and Chaos it up regardless of accesibility because Knights are cool? Yeah probably.

And I’m sure plenty of people said the tactical squad would never be replaced too.

It hasn't been, both kit and rules are still available, i think you may be a bit confused

Iirc he said the new knight is an imperial release countering the chaos releases, so in the short term at least no.

As someone of the type you're doubtlessly subposting, I adore Praetos. Zulu is a good movie, ok?
