Alright, I'll bite. What's wrong with it?

I mean it is a bit janky in terms of role, but there's nothing to fox as such I can think of. Remember that rules are more temporary, a whole new chassis is more permanent.

About the new Knight, quite the fan of it having multiple melee options.

Hopefully it's something else then fist and sword. Nothing against them, but I would like some variety.

Besides that, if that Knight is more focused on melee combat, I expect it will be faster compared to other Knight Patterns.

The rules for it (picking a target to get a bonus against) don't really line up with the wacky loadout it has, and the wacky loadout doesn't even do that well into the preferred target (mostly W2 infantry).

+1. I'd also like to see something that's a bit more dynamic. A scaled-up Siccarain Ruststalker would be the dream. Something that looks like a humanoid robot, but whose mechanics make it look like it could attack from unorthodox angles. I'd also be happy with a General Grievous-style frame that just applies the more dakka math. Anything but another knight that's just in the fork and knife pose.

I'll toss my vote in with the Carnodon.  It's technically a medium tank, not really a scout vehicle, but maybe the uninitiated could mistake it for a light tank.  Another out of production forgeworld kit, but this time for Horus Heresy.  However, there are suppose to still be a fair number of them kicking around Tallarn in the 41st millenium.

No reason besides I think it's cool and I'd like to see it come back.

When the kit first came out, a lore snippet on WarCom stated it had gone back into production after the Great Rift opened.

As someone of the type you're doubtlessly subposting, I adore Praetos. Zulu is a good movie, ok?

Those models came out 33 years after the film. (And also 33 years ago from today)

For context a war film that came out 33 years ago is Starship troopers.

I wouldn't expect anything radical, especially from Imperial Knights. Don't get me wrong, I would love to get something like Centaur Knight, but let's temper our expectations.

I would complain more about Chaos Knight looking too normal. Or maybe lack of Chaos god specific Knights.

More tanks and vehicles for the Guard are always welcome. I also really hope there's truth to the GK rumors; the current models aren't bad but you can really see their age when next to the new terminators and other Space Marine models.

I’m not sure how it compares to a Russ, but just looking at it, it looks just as heavy as a Russ on lexicanum.

i can’t imagine anyone referring to that as a light tank unless it’s like 1/2-1/3 the size of a Russ, which i really doubt

It's more analogous to a Predator.  Google found me a thread on our very own forum here that has some size comp pics.

It is smaller than I expected, but I don’t think it could be easily confused with a light tank

Over on TGA's AoS Rumour Thread, known leaker 'Whitefang back me up' had made a post about a coming "Hypogriff" (which caused much speculation) before:

I’ll spoil the fun, the Hypogriff is for 40K.

But it’s coming with some other metal friends, including an old man with some strapping new legs.

Many have subsequently pointed out how "Hypogriff" conforms to IG tank naming standards.

(The other sentence possibly suggests Yarrick in some sort of exoskeleton, but it could be an AoS hint I suppose.)

Probably not AoS or fantasy for the new old man since he says the hippogryph comes with the old man.

 Mmmm.

I was trying to think of what "metal friends" could mean, and it made me think Realm of Metal... and then I began to wonder if the "but" was to reframe the discussion back to AoS (as in, "the hippogriff is coming for 40k, but it's coming with [AoS stuff]).

Alas, "an old man" did definitely make me think of poor Yarrick though.

Guard already have/had a tank called the Griffon. So if mythologically speaking a hipogriff is half griffon, then this Hipogriff is the half track rumoured by Valrak.

That's maths.

"Other metal friends"... well we do have light tank rumor, but word "friends" implies more then one. More new models or refresh of old ones? Multiple variants availible from the start?

As for old man on new legs...

My bet is Yarrick raiding around on some mechanical mount.
