The Magos looks really cool but the skitarii look kind of wonky, they are not bad just weird  but not good weird. 30k Ad Mech keeps winning!

Other way around for me. Those Hastarii look cool but the Magos has way too much stuff going on. Magos just looks like a mess of bits going in all different directions with no clear kind of silhouette. Those big gun toting cyborgs are neat and easy to look at though!

I feel like I need a 360 of the Archmagos to really evaluate her. The limited angle makes it hard to read what's going on.

The Skitarri are... okay, I guess. The issue is that their hunched pose makes them look *a lot* like Thallax, and they do not come out well in that comparison. Maybe a good proxy opportunity.

Lovely stuff!

Going to need two lots of each. One for 40K and one to convert for 30K stuff. Not that the big gal needs much (or any) conversion to be an Archmagos on Abeyant.

Cool to see something decent for the Ad Mech, but is it just me or is there something quite Star Wars about the designs

The Hastarii leader does give me General Grievous vibes now now you mention it

It’s the hunched pose and limb style I guess.

You know what made me happy about this reveal?

There was no talk of it beforehand, or any potato cam images. Just a nice, unexpected surprise.

I agree. I don't even think there's a Rumor Engine involving them.

She is beauty, she is grace.

Great looking model. Initially I thought it was the character attempting to instigate the Martian secession from the Imperium, but realized that’s a different one.

I like it! The new infantry are really unique too, love to see Mars get more love.

The Hastarii are presumably the units originally referred to as "Hephaestons" (Haephestons?) in the excerpts from Jes Goodwin's sketchbook.

Possibly, but I still have hope for a more conventional skitarii melee unit (something a little more Frontline-oriented/looking than the sneaky sicarian ruststalkers).

Wow! This came as a surprise.

Overall I prefer the 40K over 30K mechanicum, but I'm actually really liking the similarities here. Especially the ridiculous hat. Overall the new minis give that 'Imperium mired in superstition where advancement is heresy' vibe.

Also "armoured glory" next week? Who else is excited?

The Skitari look cool.

The Magos looks...well to me personally it doesn't look good. I can only articulate my criticism as it insists upon itself, much like The Godfather.

Still, pleased for AdMech fans. And at least none of these are on stilts.

I really love the Hastarii. At long last, that's a proper heavy infantry for Adeptus Mechanicum. And adding a shoulder mounted extra weapon it's *chef kiss*.

Thulia it's also cool, maybe a little bit too tall and vertical for my own taste, but still a great miniature.

Real nice, these. I think I'd prefer them with hoods on, but nothing a quick headswap can't fix.

And about time AdMech got a named character besides Cawl. Cool model as well.

Either Knights or Guard.. Interesting..

Based on the rumours floating about, I'd bet on a Knight. Also because the aforementioned rumours also say Guard's getting their time under the spotlight in the final book after the Eye of Terror, with Yarrick at the forefront.

And yes, I realize CSM did just double dip on releases over two books back to back and Guard could do that as well.

Fantastic. I love the tech priest.

I'm seeing a wonderful union of this:

SISTER OF BATTLE by John Blanche : r/ImaginaryWarhammer

....and this:

JCB 13T Excavator - Charles Wilson

Joking aside, I love the model. The side-eye module for viewing her Discord chat on her dataslate and the little skull replacing the lightbulb on her staff.

As for the Bulky Skitarii: This is what I've been waiting for for years. They would have been a perfect unit for our air transport, had GW not made 99% of fliers extinct.

Love it!

I was kind of hoping we'd get a "Cawl's Entourage" set as our end of edition boost, but these are really lovely and fill some gaps in the army.

The Archmagos is too dope to skip, but I'll have to really think about how I want to model her. I've got a fairly similar kitbash of Cawl + Ironstrider + imperialis Magaera that I've been working on as a Archmagos on Abeyant for Heresy. If the spacing works out maybe I'll use both torsos on the Ironstrider legs and do an Aquila/Janus thing. The lower torso could probably be styled out into a Myrmydon with the right arms.

I'm surprised we haven't got a Qvo model at this point, and perhaps even Alpha Primus.

Some more named heroes will be great.

But let's not take anything away from this new character and the new infantry. I'll be adding both to my collection.

I imagine the new Heavy Skitarii can be run as a squad of 10? The weapon options look interesting.

I'd be a bit scared equipping the squad such a short time before the new edition drops. GW love changing the efficacy of weapons with each update, and whatever weapon has the more compelling rules now might be the less optimal choice in 6 months time...
