Did anyone get a look at any regimental markings? I wonder if this is a soft retcon of look to keep with the original “Krieg and  Steel Legion have the same kit.”

And seeing that video put a huge smile on my face.

Firstly great to see the old man back. I like the fact that they have given him calipers and such acknowledging his age.

Secondly, what happened to all the daemons on Armageddon? There were daemons and marines there. Did they all just disappear?

Finally, it would appear that the 3 pics are from different minis after all. Presumably we wait for adepticon for the rest.

Could be that the answer is in the rumoured campaign book that will lead into 11th edition.

Haven't watched the trailer yet, but the model... Oh my goodness. It's genuinely close to perfect. Would have preferred a bolt pistol instead of the storm bolter (mostly because I feel like the silhouette of Yarrick with the "normal" left arm and the huge power klaw on the right works better than a large weapon in both hands) but that's really small potatoes. Never mind, Yarrick always had a storm bolter. I'm clearly a fake fan. Regardless- this is one of the best character updates we've had in a while. Top marks.

"Warlord Thraka! I have come to put you and your filthy armies to the sword for your crimes against...against...are you crying?"

"...Yer as bootiful as da day I lost yer...*sniff*"

"...Hmmm. I don't know whether to be disturbed or touched. Possibly both, honestly. But I won't lie, it's good to be back!...wait, why does that sign say "Ghazakstan" on it?!?! You FIEND!"

I feel like a Steel Legion upgrade sprue for the Krieg kit would go a long way in selling this as more of a thing and less of a new cash grab setting for the usual edition churn, but what do I know?

Wrong way around - it's the new Cadians that just need a sprue of Steel Legion heads.

The Deathkorp can probably then get a Valhallen head sprue, to make use of those nice long coats, or perhaps some nice tall furry hats...

Different head is often mooted, but is never sufficient to properly turn one famous regiment into another.

Steel Legion should get their own new kit.  They are visually distinct from the Krieg.

I think that looks cool, but doesn’t look like Steel Legion to me (YMMV).

I was thinking of how the original DKoK was an alternate paint scheme of SL models; it’d be full circle for SL to become an alternate paint scheme of DKoK models.

then a nice human head on an Ogryn body for Jurgen, a 2++ Caiphas Cain model, and we‘re just about there.

its basically the same exact pose as the last one. I imagine its just scaled up a bit.

How can you say that?  He has crossed the Rubicon Sebastius and they even gave him a tactical rock to stand on!

The honed powerclaw, the face, colours... Everything is like it´s almost "new"

Might be the current ‘eavy metal studio style? I’d love to see some of the “mood lighting” experts get their hands on this model.

My controversial stance is that the mini is too grounded. The power unit and seeming exo-frame to explain his ability to use a klaw (which tbh I liked the chunky old klaws more), make it seem too grounded and less 40k somehow?

It's categorically a decent sculpt, it just doesn't hit that grimdark feel for me.

What I will say is he had more importance dead. They could have done so many more interesting things narratively if they didn't Mary sue a 400 year old bloke out to cash in on the low hanging nostalgia hit.
