Really nice glow-up.  Ork stuff should be a combination of slapdash mechanics and whatever else they've got going on, so this threads the needle quite nicely.

It's got the mechanical bits, but they're being powered by the orkboy himself.  The eye balls are a nice paint job as well.

Cable tentacles seem a bit much, makes it seem more mechanical than psychic.

They're more for plugging them in to keep the power down. They're raised on the mini as he's about to make a psychic attack and they're rising due to the power generated.

I like the fact that he's got a copper staff - classic detail, along with the staff head resembling the ork Glyph for a weirdboy.

No shoes and only a cloth to wear due to them being fairly pariah like and treated at distance with a poop riddled stick.

Great job :)

Overall I like the mini.
The one thing driving me nuts is the double underhand grip on his staff. Why? Is he presenting it as a gift?

I don't think he's even aware he's holding it in this one particular moment

I’m on the fence about them. They do look easy to trim off, leaving the collar and the zappy googaws.

It just seems a big departure from old weirdboyz designs imo, even the wurrboy has a backpack and a cable to earth him to the wagon, not to medusa all about.

The previous one had nearly no mechanical elements and exuded weirdness without being a cybork.

Give him a break... He is tripping balls... All his mates are egging him on.

To be fair, da humies put mekanical gubbins on their weirdboys all the time, to help dem rein in their psykick'al nonsense. "Psykick Hoods" and wot not.

Ain't no reason da boyz can't do the same.

Nah, weirdboyz use copper staffs to earth their power, they just charge up until they either discharge or pop. There's never been a weird hat for orks.

I understand what you're saying, they aped human tech maybe, but it's new design language for orks and less fun to me.

To each their own!
