I've been struggling for a while to beat my friend's tyranid subterranean assault army.    I think I was trying too many different things rather than play to our strengths.   My army was as follows:

Liberator Assault Group.

Dante

6 Sanguinary guard with spears

Captain

6 Sanguinary guard with spears

Lemartes

10 DC with all the weapons

Lieutenant - with the relic to give fights first

Sanguinary Priest

6 Bladeguard

5 Intercessors

5 Infiltrators

5 Infiltrators

Landraider

3 sanguinary guard

Obviously the bladeguard go in the landraider.   So I was able to charge them up the midfield.  Once deployed, between the landraider and the bladeguard he really struggled to shake me loose.

The big key was charging in early with my DC to take out the Tyrannofex as it was the big threat to my land raider.   His exocrines etc could hurt me, but a landraider in cover is pretty durable.   He did get one screamer killer into melee with the landraider and knocked me down by like half, but then I took him out and was able to keep him at bay.

The Infiltrators I actually kept in my backfield to zone his tunnelers out.  Previous games I had been using them to hold the midfield.  But that meant that once I charged my big hitters forward I didn't have anything left to zone out the back and he was able to get behind me.

Well done brother. 'Deepstriking' tyranids is a challenge and you adapted well to overcome.

Screening them out is vital and you got your threat priority right as well as trades so the tables have now turned for you, well done.

Don't have much to offer V nids as I have limited experience but might be worth giving the Captain Firsts first.

You can be super bold with the unit (not with shooting) and it will delete or scare most units.

The Assault ramp on the land raider will usually give you fights first in a way and if you have sent DC in front of the land raider to screen and charge threats then the BG should get to the combat they want to without fights first.
