Rowland
So, I’m new to Warhammer, but I’ve seen a lot of the artwork and painted a lot of figures now. I’ve just finished my intercessors (straps and holsters), I’m currently painting a Librarian in Phobos armour (leather waistcoat)…but I’ve never seen, in the art of the Grim dark future a meadow full of cows. Where are they and who looks after them? Solution Mazer Rackham Posted April 27 Solution Share Posted April 27 The cows are generally placed on agri-worlds, which are worlds given over to monstrous farms, crops and animal husbandry. Grox is the cow of the day, and they are all over civilised and feudal worlds as well. Some leathers are xenos hides (make it up). The Howling Griffons, for example, their homeworld is Mancora, and it looks just like medieval England in any Arthurian film you care to name, with moo-cows aplenty. jaxom
There’s a bit about this in one book regarding all the vellum imported to Terra. Whole continents on agri-worlds are given over to giant animals bred for the purpose. The meat becomes a delicacy sent to hive world nobles. Magos Takatus
I watched a video that was a retrospective on the Fire Warrior game, and the creator noted that there was cheese on the plates in the Imperial ship (or the base, I don't remember for sure). I had always assumed Grox were the default alternative to provide meat in a lot of the Imperium and they are described as reptilian which does make me pose the obvious question.... Where did the milk come from? Part of me is afraid to discover the answer. She stamped one forehoof. "OK, girls. Time to put the plan into action. You remember what to do." "Moo." "Perfect." It's dog milk, full of goodness, full of marrowbone jelly and of course it lasts longer than any other type of milk...
