New Ork biker kit shown off early in the crossfire! They look great, really happy for Ork players.

The terrain is interesting and a decent "I don't like painting buildings" accessibility option, but will definitely live or die on pricing

If it didn’t have disgusting print lines I’d be intrigued.

Dunno if these are print lines or just a very rough texture by a comparatively cheap milling process, seeing as this would be made in china with probably very cheap molds compared to GW usual fare.

Hope they offer an unpainted version alongside it. Pre-painted isn't for me, though I can see why it'd appeal for some

I suspect they won’t, but agree it would be good if they did.

a big concern with prepainted I have, is mold lines, and the injection points. That stuff will look awful.

My prediction is that this is mostly going to be targeted towards FLGS and tournament organizers.

I don't think that will work. Sure, a gaming store might get a set, but tournament organisers tend to nee a ton of terrain, so they get what's the cheapest and this definitely won't be it.

Previous terrain pieces could now be re-boxed and listed as specific objective pieces.

They could be released alongside campaign / mission packs to maximise their desirability and sales potential - I need that landing pad for the Escape from Luna mission

Yeah, I was really surprised that none of the larger GW terrain pieces fit on the new cards, meaning they will never see use unless there are new, specific missions for them. I don't have an issue with that if the missions are fun.

I also have no issue with pre-painted terrain (GW has actually produced pre-painted resin terrain in the past btw - although only one that I can think of).

I suspect that this might come bundled in a box with 2 x card battle mats, the card terrain templates and enough terrain pieces to fill each of the card templates in the box (16 pieces of terrain?). That way you get exactly what you need to paly every mission in the core book.

And it'll be about £150. That's my Nostradamus for the day.... (sarcastic speculation btw).

Agreed - looking at the sprue pics in the New Warhammer Edition thread and knowing what other terrain has been like I cant imaged this will be great. Hopefully they have accounted for that in the edges being fairly basic colours to touch up with paints if needed after taking off the sprue and dealing with any lines.

Personally I have quite liked painting terrain myself in the past as a break from mini painting. I go less detailed than with models as terrain is meant to be in the background but it is fun enough to play around and try out techniques (and make mistakes on) that I dont generally use 'day to day'.

I dont dislike the idea of having pre painted terrain as an option and there is always the option to paint over it  (if it wont screw up any detail)

I do wonder on the cost as I cant imagine it will be a 'free' feature

£150? I never knew there was such optimism in the grim dark...

Hot take, I think to have the splash they want and gain immediate market dominance, if a tables worth is £200 or less they're going to win that one.
