Hi everyone,

My name is Chris McAuley. I’m a writer, producer, and lifelong fan of science fiction, horror, comics, tabletop gaming, and grimdark storytelling. Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to work across a number of creative worlds, including Doctor Who, Terminator, Star Trek, Dracula, and my own horror franchise, the StokerVerse.

I’ve always had a deep love for Warhammer 40,000 and the kind of powerful, brutal, mythic storytelling that makes the universe so compelling. I’m especially drawn to its mixture of gothic horror, military tragedy, impossible heroism, religious zealotry, and the sheer scale of its lore. It is the sort of setting that makes you want to create, debate, paint, write, and disappear into the background of every faction and battlefield.

I’m joining Bolter and Hammer because I’d love to connect with other fans, share ideas, discuss lore, and hopefully contribute to the community in a positive way. I have a particular interest in character-driven stories set against the vast machinery of war, especially tales involving Space Marines, Inquisitors, Chaos, and the ordinary humans trying to survive in a galaxy that rarely shows mercy.

Looking forward to chatting with you all, learning from the community, and getting involved.

Mostly the Storytelling aspects - I've been reading the books and comics for about 5 years now and I love the video games (which introduced me to 40K waaaay back in the days of playing Space Crusade on the Amstrad 464+)
