I am currently sitting in my car waiting for GW to open so I can pre order the new box set.

I know some people will say “get it for cheaper” but my local game store are a good group of guys and I can afford to support them locally.

I got here at 8am (they open at 10 am today) expecting a huge line due to where I live being hobby city… I am the only one here. I am not mad about this as I can pre order and just go home, what I am pointing out is most other hobbies have gotten to the scalping/ toxic level of even if you are 2 hours early there is still a line around the block.

I'm sure they will sell out of preorders during the day but I am glad local 40K scene is chill enough that no one is out here setting up chairs and scuffling over a new box.

I love this community.

I would say most of that scuffling takes place online, rather than at the physical stores.  A lot of the limited one off sets and special edition books seem to sell out really fast, apart from GW’s site glitching out as if they were being DDoS’d  since they don’t really have the capacity to keep up.

Having said that, Leviathan had enough stock that it was still available months after the edition launched, they want stuff like that available for everyone that wants one.
