So if my unit declares a charge, it now has "Fights First"?

I'm about to play my first games of 11th edition. I'll be up against Dark Angels and possibly the Lion lol.

Just to clarify, "Fights First" is now granted to the unit that charges, and if the unit that was charged also has the rule, the controlling player will go 1st with their unit? Am I correct in this?

More-less. Charging gave a unit fights first in 10th as well, the only difference was your opponent selected first.

As you said, is that the active player goes first in the turn order, so the only way to get interrupted without a strat is if you charge two enemy units with fights first, you would pick one to attack with on your side, then they would select the other.

You will also alternate as soon as possible, so if your opponent had no fights first, they would attack first after charges were done.

However, if as with the first example, you made only two charges, both into Fights First units, you would attack, then they would attack, but then you would be the first to attack in ongoing combat as that would be the continuation of the back and forth activations.

Thanks, that's what was confusing me. I almost wish the rules were MORE different from one edition to the next as I'm going to invariably mix up a lot of 10th and 11th edition abilities lol
