Greetings fellow Knights of Titan.

I will be attending the UKTC Edinburgh on the 18th to 19th of July and I intend on taking my Grey Knights. Mainly because I can easily get them finished in time and they are the easiest army to keep out while we pack up to move house.

I am currently a little restricted in my army composition so will be running a Santic Spearhead list as I have the Dreaknights and I'll need them to crack tanks and monsters open, backed up by immaterial interdiction as I have plenty of Interceptors to help do the priority assets missions.

Looking for feedback from anyone who has played Grey Knights in 11th so far. This is the first list I've written for the edition and I've yet to play a game.

And before anyone says anything, I am aware swords on Dreadknights is not the competitive option, but to quote Worf Son of Mogh, "Swords are fun."

The plan for each mission will be similar. The foot knights will bounce around doing the mission, while the Dreadknights team up to eliminate threats with shooting and melee. The Grandmasters and Crowe's Purifiers will come down to eliminate specific threats and move block as required.

One change I'm toying with is swapping the upgrade on one Interceptor squad to the T1 ingress one as its the same points but could cause some interesting T1 scoring.

I do have some other squads on hand so have some options to consider:

1x 5 man Strike Squad
1x 5 man Purifier Squad
1x 5 man Purgation Squad
Voldus
3x Librarians

Terminators (enough to field a few squads of five man or ten man)

2x Techmarines

A Razorback (if I can find a top plate for the new gun so it's no longer a 5th ed LasPlas build)

Well had my first ever game of 11th today with this list and it works.

Won 79-53 against Chaos Space Marine this evening. I made some mistakes but the speed of the army helped compensate for that and helped me max out secondaries.

This list is a glass hammer in the truest sense though. By turn 5 I had 2 interceptors and Crowe and 4 Purifiers left on the table. But it was a fun and swingy game.

The power of the Chaos Gods pales in comparison to that of the true Chaotic Powers; the Dice Gods!

Grey Knights are in a potentially interesting place. In my experience right now they require a bit of finesse to use and can be very high risk/high reward, but compared to other marine factions and custodes, their most competitive options just aren't that durable. Crowe and a full ten man Purfier squad are a walking war crime against infantry, but they can't take a hit back. Dreadknights can be blindingly fast and hit hard, but in that last game I lost all five by the end, even after my opponents heaviest hitters were gone in the early turns.

At the moment I am having fun with my knights and I'm glad to be nearly finished painting the new army I started at the end of 9th (my 2nd Grey Knights force since I started the hobby).

Looking forward to seeing what the rumoured refresh brings us one day.

I ran 5 man with no specials or Crowe (friendly games) and they did were able to deal out damage on one of my sides of the table against Tyranids. 1st game they had an emergency disembarkation from their razorback and were in melee with orks turn 1.  I have yet to bring out a Dreadknight this edition, but ran a Ven Dread as my second HQ. Armed with a Plasma Cannon and Dreadnought CCW/ Flamer, he worked against Orks. But was shot off the table by the Tyranids. What did not work was Razorbacks, I had 3, 2 twin lascannon and 1 twin heavy bolter, one was reduced to 1 wound after the first shoots of the game and the others were not effective. 255 points to spend in somewhere else.

Well the tournament has been and gone and my knights did not do well. Four losses and one win, but it was a very fun time.

Game 1: Emperor's Children - 100 - 33 (loss)

- Triple Defiler went exactly as expected. I did kill one though so that something.

Game 2: Adeptus Custodes - 100 - 28 (loss)

- I find playing against Custodes is either a really fun, and swingy game or opressively dull. This one was the latter. Draxus also needs to get in the bin. I made some stupid mistakes on positioning.

Game 3: Space Wolves - 89 - 69 (loss)

- A much closer game and much more fun. A brilliant and friendly opponent with an excellently painted and modelled army I didn't mind losing to at all.

Game 4: Adeptus Mechanicus - 59 - 77 (win)

- A game I did not expect to win. The mission really helped me here. I was on Vital Link, and while the Dreadknights ran rampant through his army, my interceptors were quietly racking up points on the centre. I could have scored more if I had made a few vital charges early on, but the game was decided when the last Grand Master was able to kill a Skorpius with overwatch in his turn to get bring it down and tempting target, and then I was able to uppy downy the strikes and an inceptor squad into his backfield turn four and score 22 points in one turn.

Game 5: Space Marines - 100 - 34 (loss)

- A really interesting Anvil Siege Force/Librarius combo to finish. Was likely going to be a loss but wouldn't have been quite as bad if I could have made some vital charges when I needed to.

All in all it was a really fun event but think I'll need to rework my list a little. Glad I tried something new though which no other Grey Knight players were taking.
