Brainmisfire
Hello! I'm excited to be here. I got into Warhammer properly in 10th edition with the Leviathan box, but I was skulking around the periphery for many years before that. I don't know why it took me so long to take the plunge, but I'm glad I did. Painting miniatures has since become one of my favorite activities. And I just started reading The Lion: Son of the Forest! Arikel
Always good to see more folk from home. It’s a good community here, more hobby oriented than most other 40k places I’ve hung around. Welcome to the forum. Actually taking a short break from my Dark Angels to paint some minis from the Lands of Evershade board game, but when I get to back to them it'll be my infernus marines. I'm allllmost done them. Just a few details left. W.A.Rorie 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388149-greetings-from-canada/#findComment-6177102 Share on other sites
Tawnis
Greetings, also from Canada, I tend to see a lot of Dark Angels players around, maybe it's all the trees? Welcome to the hobby, I hope that your local gaming community is as welcoming and friendly as the ones I've found in the Western Provinces. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I'm not specifically a Dark Angels expert per say, but I've played as and against a lot of Space Marines in my day. Dr_Ruminahui
If painting events are your thing, you may want to paint some of your Dark Angels for the Call to Arms painting event which started last week and runs to September 15 - here's where you would do that. Dr_Ruminahui
I wouldn't know - I basically just play with 2 friends in my basement. I should probably get out more... certainly that way I might get in more than 4 games a year. Taps Games on the southside runs a Slow Grow League once or twice a year, it's a great way to ease yourself into the broader community. Everyone was super friendly, its a great space to play in. (That reminds me, I should check in and see if they are running a new one now that 11th is out.)
