Valkyrion
Is there like a buff/debuff template kit kinda thing out there? e.g, my thing has hit something which means I get +1 to hit that thing with other things. Or, this unit advanced and can't shoot, but this unit advanced and can shoot. Is there a universally agreed way of doing it? Inquisitor_Lensoven
Nope a lot of things like that now are ‘token’ models like ammo runts, or HK missiles on new sentinels can be easily removed without magnets if you don’t glue them on. attack squigs iirc as well. Cactus
Command Pack: Orks was previewed on Friday. I thinks it's safe to assume that other factions will get one when their codex is released. DemonGSides
I've accumulated enough tokens from other games and even GW games that I have a bunch of "Skulls and other things" that I keep in my kit alongside dice, dice roller, deployment zone templates, rolling tray and measuring tape. I also build armies to try not to have TOO Many "remember this over multiple phases" type actions so as to keep the brain drain as low as possible. Not getting any younger out here. DanPesci
As people have mentioned there is currently no universally accepted way of doing this. Some players just remember in their heads, most, especially newer players, id recommend using tokens. With the way hidden works in 11th now too, id recommend having tokens for that too. Lots of ways you can get/make tokens: 1. I have enough dice from various games that I can use those for tokens - e.g. the titanicus dice make great tokens for marking up which units in my admech army get which haloscreed override protocols each turn (the dice give me 6 'icons' to choose from) 2. For my space wolves i went a different route. I had some spare bases and loads of spare transfer sheets. Quick base paint layer on the base to match your army colour scheme (in my case snowy/white) - add a relevant transfer....you have quick and easy (and personisable) tokens. I went one step further using some slightly bigger bases, adding texture paint with gaps in it for 2 dice (the texture around where the dice go stop them falling off the base) - and use those as wound markers. 3. Super simple - buy plain plastic circle tokens and write on them. My mate has loads of these for his guard orders/tsons powers 4. Buy third party tokens, or wait for GW to release ones this edition. However after seeing the quality of the 'tokens' in legio imperialis, I wouldnt hold out on them being great quality. Cardboard tokens just dont tend to hold up well in tabletop wargaming from my experience (whereas something like a boardgame they are more applicable) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388165-how-do-you-keep-track-of-activeone-use-abilities/#findComment-6177855 Share on other sites
