Marshal Loss Posted June 26 Share Posted June 26 I know it's a 'new angle' on Prospero but I'd really prefer to see them swing these journals at battles we haven't seen... An explicitly Tzeentch-themed daemons list is interesting and potentially a pretty sizeable shift from the Ruinstorm though if this is what they're planning to do for the other deities in the future. True and I do have a copy of Inferno on my shelf. But I'd always be down for more content for any of the players in their big battles. Or would have been a brilliant time to refresh the Sisters of Silence with a new range but I feel probably too close to the Custodes refresh. I still hope we see them revamped. Presumably Khorne would be in a Signus journal, though I would have to wiki-delve a bit which campaigns saw extensive deployments of nurgle and slaanesh daemons. Adjutorum Sodality is a retinue which includes a Not!Nuncio-Vox, the 40k Blade Champion and a standard bearer who messes with objective scores. The new Solar Auxilia Cohort Doctrine allows them to be taken as allies in a Custodes force and implies there's a way to boost Line at the risk of becoming Stunned There's also a Detachment which lets Custodes run Militia. If I had to guess, they'll use a War in the Webway Journal to print a 'final' Daemons list which combines the ones they'll have previously presented in other Journals (EG Tzeentch in this one, a Signus Journal which has a Daemons of Khorne list, etc) - maybe/hopefully with some extra goodies for Sisters of Silence - and 'Ruinstorm' will remain as a PDF DIY army in the same vein as Militia. I think for Nurgle they'll probably have to come up with some OC content (maybe focusing on Typhon's misadventures). Lord Marshal Posted August 28 Author Share Posted August 28 (edited) Designer’s notes – Tzeentch Daemons in the Age of Darkness Daemons of Tzeentch can be run as their own army, or as allies to the Ruinstorm. Running them alongside opposed Ætheric Dominions (Nurgle etc) incurs a -2 stat reduction. The Daemons that get rules are: Quote High Command – Ascendant Lord of Tzeentch Command – Herald of Tzeentch Support – Flamers of Tzeentch Recon – Screamers of Tzeentch Troops – Horrors of Tzeentch Warlord – Lord of Change True acolytes of Tzeentch will no doubt be pleased to know that, as the paths of fate diverge, so too can Pink Horrors split into two Blue Horrors upon their demise, via the special Infernal Mitosis Advanced Reaction. There's an updated version of the Ætheric Incursion Detachment, which the Prosperine Sorcerer can now also use. Solar Auxilia get a second new Cohort Detachment which turns their Command models into Psykers. They also tease covering more Daemons/Dominions in the future. I love my daemons. It'd have been an ideal opportunity to introduce a 'heavy infantry' daemon model for each aspect. Maybe they're just not especially popular? If you're looking for a vaguely Tzeentchian "Heavy Daemon" to soup in from Ruinstorm, there is a good option you can steal from AoS: Just paint those guys up in the Daemonic colours of your choice and they work pretty well. Maybe toss a some spare Tzeentchy bits or a Brimstone Horror pair on the base too.
