Got pulled back into 40k with 11th and I've been out of the loop since 7th. So starting fresh here with my Dark Angels successor chapter, the Knights Cervine. (Got some cool elk decals off etsy, and my friend that plays Orks is already calling them Deer Boyz)

I got the Armaggeddon set, Deathwing,  a terminator chaplain, Aggressors and the Dark Angels combat patrol box.

So don't have the Impulsors or bikes. And Detachments are a bit Greek to me right now. (Old man is yelling at cloud over missing the old FOC). So best Detachments for what I got would be great advice.

Also have a 3d printed count-as Lion El that started my renewed interest in the first place.

And lastly my flgs doesn't have the impulsors or bikes, but they do have a few redemptor dreads on sale. Think I could squeeze one in by dropping  the bikes and transports but I don't know if it's worth making the infernus and Bladeguard walk.

And if I go to 3k I was thinking about maybe 2 dreads, and a LR Crusader to ferry the Aggressors around. But that's not written in stone at all.

So basically looking for advice on what to add to my grocery list, and torn between transports and bikes or dread(s). Also love the gravis armor stuff.

I'm not a fan of the Libby with the Infernus, or the Ancient with the Hellblasters.  I get that you're model limited but I'd at least flip them.  I like Libby + Apothecary leading10 Hellblasters now that they've opened that door.  They're hard to kill, and come back.  Even if they overheat they get to shoot again, and come back.

If you're going to do Black Knights, I'd do them "right"  Go for the full six and attach the Ravenwing Command Squad (which would mean ordering about 4 boxes from the website as I think they're web order only) a

The Heavy Bolter Eradicators are nice.  But they're not really "necessary" - You have a lot of what they do normally.  Melta Eradicators would be more helpful.  But Ballistus Dreads feeds more into Deathwing.

You're playing Lion's Blade.  Every Greenwing unit needs to be worth not fitting in your detachment.  Almost all the strats require either the Ravenwing or Deathwing keyword.  Terminators, power armor veterans, Walkers, Bikes, and speeders.

You're also playing Interrogation Conclave, but don't have very many Chaplains.  I think Interrogation Conclave as some dirty tricks but I also think if you're going to do that, its time to pair Chaplains and Reivers to stack tests and -1LD modifiers.  It would be an interesting/annoying list depending on how the changes to Morale/Battleshock.

Intercessors and Heavy Intercessors are OC2 Battleline and you can make a case for them though they're not ABSOLUTELY necessary.

The Aggressor Bomb is a good unit.  But they don't fit your Detachments.  They can't carry a Chaplain as there is no Gravis Chaplain, and they don't have the keywords.

The Hellblasters are the easiest Greenwing to justify - but if you want to do Hellblasters and Ravenwing bikes and speeders (like the Vengeance) I'd look at swapping Interrogation Conclave for Dark Age Arsenal.

The Combi-wing army is one of the theme armies I try making every edition - I've only done the first pass so far but I came up with

The Lion (He annoyingly has keyword problems that Guilliman does not in Ultramarine armies but he's a beatstick and its a theme not min-max army)

Azrael (Deahtwing) and and Apothecary leading 10 Hellblasters with Petition of Stability (I'm 50/50 on swapping Azrael for the upcoming libby though it would cost me a keyword match)

A Libby and Apothecary leading 6 Inner Circle Champions (Deathwing)

Ravenwing Command Squad (Ravenwing) attached to 6 Ravenwing Black Knights (Ravenwing)

Terminator Librarian leading 10 Shootinators (Deathwing)

Land Speeder (Ravenwing)

Land Speeder Vengeance (Petition of Stability) (Ravenwing)

Land Speeder Vengeance (Petition of Stability) (Ravenwing)

Only one unit doesn't have Deathwing or Ravenwing keywords - And really The Lion should have at least Deathwing.  Two melee-ish Deathwing units to sling shot around the board with Ravenwing help is a little low.

Edit to Add:  gave it another go with less theme.

Chaplain in Terminator Armor leading 5 Deathwing Knights

Ravenwing Command Squad leading 6 Ravenwing Black Knights

and Ravenwing Darkshroud because I had 80 points left and no ideas but it can act as a magnet for the Dreads or give cover to Dreads which would entertain me.

Thank you for the insight. I was recommended the apothecary Hellblaster combo by a friend as well a so certainly have to work that in.

Also, what is a good detachment(s) for the Aggressors?

I'd look at the base SM Codex for the Aggressors.  Most of the Dark Angels detachments are about the Ravenwing, Deathwing, or both.  The Unforgiven Task Force is Battleshock related - and about your units being battleshocked which is pretty bad.  For Greenwing I'd use the main book.
