Thought I should probably introduce myself here.

 

I'm from South East Texas. I'm fairly new to Warhammer in general. I only discovered my addiction around September of last year after decades of staying away from it. I was mostly scared of painting.

I was finding video games less fulfilling by the day, so I decided I wanted to do something different. A friend who is an avid 40k enjoyer suggested checking out a book to see if I liked the environment. So I read The Siege of Vraks. And then two weeks later, I bought my first combat patrol - it was Deathkorp, naturally.

 

And I've been hooked ever since. I bounce back and forth between 40k and 30k in terms of what I like more. 

 

My current project is establishing and writing the lore of my Iron Warriors army for Horus Heresy. I'll end up posting a blog on it pretty soon most likely. Other than that, I'm also finishing up an Emperor's Children army.

 

I'm also a big lover of Kill Team. I play Kasrkin, Breachers, and Inquisitors for now. But I'll likely finish off my Phobos Strike Team sooner or later and play that where I can.

 

Anyways, I look forward to being here and talking Warhammer with y'all.

Welcome!  Be sure to check out the Astra Millitarum, Heresy and Kill Team subforums.  The Kill Team one can be kind of quite, but the folks there are always eager to help - the Heresy folks as well, when I've had reason to drop by.

 

 

I know you said you dread painting, but if you want to try to get some done you might wat to consider joining Call to Arms, which started a couple of weeks ago and goes until mid-September - its a great way to get some painting done while being inspired and encouraged by your peers.

And honestly? I love painting now. It's my decompression method after working long shifts. So I'll probably jump on that too.

Nah I love to paint now. I was just scared of it for so long because I knew I'd be bad at it. I'm still bad at it, but I'm getting better.
