Good Afternoon All

Reached out to admin to ask where to put it, alas no reply, so mods/admins if it needs to move, please shimmy it!

Have just put together a small trial of a Mordhiem to 40k conversion.

This started mainly as a thing for myself and some mates to play some small scale 40k campaign based skirmish without sort of learning a new 'core' system.

Shadow Wars was just going to be too much (as well as a bit off the mark, Terminators and Grey Knight kill teams certainly increase the 'scale' of the game). We forayed into N17, but not only did that not have the 'death by bottle in back alley' vibe that Mordheim has (hell N17 feels like elite kill teams/navy seals going in to wreck each others face!), Necromunda's are very human-centric and just...vast.

N95 was fine, but again different enough that it would be another game system burning out our collective old man brains.

Thus Mord Hive.

I figured that it may be of some interest to people here as obviously we all love Mordheim. I love the ability to create a small, weird warband that may be a bit off kilter and never evolve into a true army due to the work (Looking at you lizardmen) invovled, but allows a bit of fun or to try something new. As above Necromunda doesn't really do that as it is all/90% humans and is a bit more complicated. So hopefully this can give some gaming groups wanting that 'small 40k but mordheim' feels!

This was very much an attempt to keep the Mordheim/OldHammer feels, with the GW turn of the century art and fluff styles (less is more etc).

I've created a few trial factions, based heavily off of existing Mordheim Factions (Imperial Guard, Orks, Pox Cult, Ordo Hereticus Retainers and a single Forsaken Astartes (Just added Cult of the Four Armed Emperor), this in its nascent form is meant to just use the core Mordheim rulebook, skill sheets and missions. It has new (mainly renamed) equipment, with new weapons that will no doubt require a heap of balance massaging!

Feel free to have a squiz and if you see anything that needs fixing, please yell out, this is very early in its life, but I've at the very least had a lot of fun putting it together and it never hurts getting some fresh sets of eyes on it!

I glanced at it and read all the warband rosters, will give it a full read later and to provide feedback. I don't have any experience with Mordheim outside of reading the rulebook and the supplementary material for it from White Dwarf, but this looks really interesting. I really like how the Space Marine warband looks, has a ton of conversion potentials as do all the other lists. I do have a question about the Eldar Weapon roster as the faction still isn't realized. I see the weapon lists has the Imperial Longlas on it, will the upcoming Eldar feature some Storm Guardian, Corsair and Ranger representation? I thought of the Forgeworld Corsair lasblaster variant and the Ranger Long Rifle while reading the weapon list. Then again considering the setting the Eldar roster might be limited in scope like all the others. I think Outcast Path Eldar would be a perfect fit for a Mordheim type setting.

Hey mate, yeah the dream with this is it allows people to go do a faction they haven't worked on before and really crank up the modelling to 11 as 10-15 models is easier than 50+ as well as tanks etc!

I've popped the Eldar and Dark Eldar weapons on there to allude to whats coming. I'm still unsure where I'm going to land on the Eldar/Dark Eldar. I don't want this to be a full kill team vibe of elites, but more some guys that sort of got stuck and want out. So yeah, still figuring that one out haha.
