Xenith Posted yesterday at 09:55 AM Share Posted yesterday at 09:55 AM (edited) Hi all, I'm looking at adding to my very small 30k Thousand Sons force, but want to build units that will be usable in both systems, with appropriate load outs (effectively building a new 40k TS army!). I'm looking for inspiration on a range of things that could be used in both systems, either single models, or unit load outs - if you have any ideas, please share! Heresy/40k 5 veterans with rotor cannon = 5 rubrics with soulreaper Flamer support squad = rubrics with warpflamers Scarab occult = direct use as Sekhmet Sorcerers on disk = jetbikes? Predator, rhino, land raiders = use as-is. Hellbrute = castraferrum dread - would anyone object to a contemptor being used as a hellbrute? Characters = their 30k equivalent Tzaangor enlightened = ruinstorm Daemon harriers/cavalry? Lathe Biosas
Are you going to keep them red for 30k use? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388261-cross-compatible-units-for-30k40k/#findComment-6179926 Share on other sites
lansalt
You don't say if you prefer to use 30k minis, but assuming you do: Terminators: Use Sekhmet, although you may lose some options ( Soulreaper Cannon, ML launcher) Sorcerers on disk: AFAIK there's sorcerers with jump packs in the Legacy PDFs? You could also put a 30k sorcerer on a disk and play it as using a JP (look a the cover of Fury of Magnus!) Hellbrutes: I think their lore doesn't specify the pattern they're based on, so both castraferrum and contemptors should be fine with the proper loadout Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388261-cross-compatible-units-for-30k40k/#findComment-6179930 Share on other sites
