Got hooked on Space Marine on the PC, saw what I was missing, and decided to switch to 40K. Now I spend my time catching up on missed lore and crying over miniature prices. I left the WH universe behind, for about a decade of hardcore AD&D 2nd edition, then came back to find a sprawling universe with new army names, lore and prices that made me cry. Welcome back, Red! Take your time to find what you really want, and then I suggest to search for the second hand market, or 3d printing (but it's another hobby itself almost) to create your army or team. Mini's may be stupid expensive, but at least playing Space Marines, you'll always have some kind of discount box to fall back on. What Chapter are you planning to play, something from the lore, or a homebrew?
