Apoc 40k 3rd ed

Reaching out to those that have experience and insite with the standalone 3rd ed apoc game(the one with alternating activations).

 

I purchased this when it first came out in 2019(I think is the year). Read the rules once and never played it. I have played apoc many times in the past with its predecessors, but the general consensus I got was that this was the best way to play apoc.

 

Im planning a very large apoc game a couple years down the road with some friends, and we are ultimately going with this rule set. 

 

After a few passes with the rules again, I feel optimistic that this is the way to go. A lot of things I do like (alternating activations), simpler profiles(keeps the game rolling), etc. However, there are a few things that are head scratchers. I noticed that it is very easy to snipe characters. This can be a little anticlimactic if titans are able to pick off leaders early in the game. Ive also seen some jank with the command assetts and how cards are drawn, and a few other things.

 

There was an errata and a faq(cannot find because GW took it down), but from what I understand, the faq had very little and the errata has already updated the datasheets thst are... funnily still available right now. 

 

Im going to be making some homebrew datasheets for some of the newer models that have come out but in addition to this, im going to be making a homebrew errata to shore up some of the issues for this version of apoc. 

 

For those that have knowledge, experience and insight on this game, would ypu please share anything you learned and noticed that we're problems that could probably be in an errata.
