New member intro

Greetings.

My name is Isabel. I’m a Brazilian Warhammer player; I play Blood Angels, but I’m looking to broaden my experience with the game, so I’m starting to build a Combat Patrol army—either Tyranids or Orks.

I hope to learn a lot about the game on the forum and from fellow hobbyists.

Welcome to B&C. 

Tyranids and Orks are great second armies as you can build them in so many different ways. Be strong and hit stuff like Blood Angels, or spread out into different playstyles. 

 

I play all three armies, (though a bit less these days since I try not to overlap too much with the armies my kids are playing), so feel free to reach out if you have any questions. The community here is pretty solid, there's a lot to share and learn about the game.

Thanks, I'm really happy to be here.
I played with Tyranids about two weeks ago and loved the swarm feeling the army conveys.
Thanks to both of you.
I played a bit of the 9th edition and am now getting back into it with the 11th edition. I picked up an Armageddon box set, and I'm loving the pieces and the rules.


I still don't know how to like other people's messages. I'll probably struggle a bit at first.

Thematically, Orks and Tyranids are great choices. As you might have noticed, the Ork range is getting a bit of a refresh at the moment, so it's getting some fantastic new models. The Tyranid range has had some new models recently, but some of the other models are on the older side and showing their age (the Warriors kit) - don't know if that is an issue for you.

 

There should be a grey disc in the bottom right of each post, which allows you to react to it (the default is "like" if you just click it). It might have been limited until you get 5 posts.

I'm a visual learner who needs pictures

 

 

 

If you hold the mouse over each icon, a text explanation of its meaning will display (as with Like in the image above).

A linha de Tyranids também recebeu alguns modelos novos recentemente, mas alguns outros são mais antigos e mostram sinais de desgaste (como o kit dos Guerreiros) — não sei se isso seria um problema para você.

 

Deve haver um disco cinza no canto inferior direito de cada postagem, que permite reagir a ela (a opção padrão é "curtir" se você clicar nele). Pode ser que o recurso esteja limitado a 5 postagens.

I played with two units of Termagants and felt just like I was in the *Warhammer: Space Marine 2* video game, with Titus mowing everyone down. Hahaha—even though I was the one taking a beating, it was really cool to watch.

Hello Isabel.  I see you have the Armageddon box set.  You have everything you need to play Combat Patrol right now.  You have all the units for the Assault Force Space marine CP and the Orks ‘ardmob CP.  can you get the app where you are?  If you want to play Tyranids, their current CP is called The Vardenghast Swarm you can pick up a combat patrol box set or buy a Tyranid half of the 10th edition starter set and add 5 Barbgaunts, whatever is cheaper.

Remember, you can easily lose control of how many miniatures of Combat Patrol you own and, before you know it, you'll have a full scale horde army

Yeah, I recently picked up the Leviathan box from a friend. It came with a lot of Tyranids.
That was the trigger for me to give them a try.
As for the Orks, I want to test them out too, see what they're like. It seemed like a really cool army to build, since everything is so cobbled together from scrap. Haha.

For my Blood Angels, I have enough for around 2,000 points.
But I focused heavily on the Marines. Now, with the Tyranids and Orks, there's a good chance I'll go way over that limit. Haha.
